What do you guys think of this Refill Pouch recycle system!? ♻️
When we showed you our refill pouch concept back in August, we had this great comment from Stacey Smith suggesting a system where the empty pouches could be sent back to us to be refilled and reused!
We absolutely loved this idea, as keeping Tallow + Ash as planet-friendly as possible is super important to us. Our initial thoughts are to create a system where once you’ve used 6 refill pouches or more, you can package them up and send them back to our warehouse so they can be reused or recycled correctly. And then as a thank you from us to you, we’ll gift you a free Laundry Shampoo + Conditioner set of your choice!
We want to make this process as easy as possible for you so we’re looking at getting some pre-paid return labels sorted before we get this system up and running but would love to hear your feedback first!

This should have been in place as soon as the refills were available to purchase, not just mentioned as an idea back in 2023. Instead, we’re still waiting. As it stands, the only real incentive to buy refills is saving 50p, while the pouches go straight to landfill. The bottles are recyclable, but the refill system doesn’t reflect the same level of thought, which undermines the sustainability message.

Is this system now up and running yet. I have been throwing the empty pouches out with the general waste as my council won’t allow these in their recycling bins. I feel pretty guilty about it. How great would it be if your return and recycle system was live!

Is a pouch recycling scheme in place now?
If so please advise how to return pouches as do not want to order more until I can return the empties.
