Our new best-smelling, but worst-selling!

Our new best-smelling, but worst-selling!

Help us re-name this product!

In November we launched ‘Candy Beach’. It was meant to be our Flagship product. Our signature brand-coloured bottle and scent. But it quickly became our worst seller! 😂

The fragrance inside Candy Beach is absolutely gorgeous, and the bottle is arguably our most aesthetic. The fragrance is a unique blend of Vanilla, Dragonfruit and Musk… but the product just hasn’t caught on!

Do we need a new name? And does anyone have any good ideas? Or is there something else that’s holding back people trying the product? Let us know what you think before we go back to the beginning on this one!

Would love to hear from you 💜

I don’t think lots of people want their laundry to smell out and out like a perfume, especially a strong feminine perfume when washing for the whole family! With two teenage boys and a husband, I wouldn’t choose this scent at all (we love Oud). Additional fresh, universal scents would be better – lemongrass, bergamot, seasalt etc.

I think it’s the word candy that might be putting people off as I think of a sickly sweet smell when I hear that word.
Maybe something like sunset beach ?
unless it’s the word beach putting people off as there’s nothing worse than sand all over your clothes and in your washing machine 😂😂😂

Hi
We ordered the Discovery Samples recently and decided to choose just 2 of the fragrances – Oud for clothes and Aurora for bedding. The others were nice but wanted to settle for just 2 – mainly down to space and initial cost outlay also played a part. Naming products can be very difficult and I am truly not an expert in this area. The name however Candy Beach might not be a perfect choice for naming detergent. Most people who buy the more commercial type laundry products may only have a few named fragrance to choose from. When it comes to detergent people tend to buy a brand and type of fragrance (if you can call it that) they are used to. When people are looking at the detergent shelf in the supermarket I think people look at first the brand name, is it on offer? and a fragrance they know or fragrance which spells out the fragrance on the label or a picture. Candy Beach may be a little confusing, and also I believe it is not within the Discovery Samples which may be part of the reason for sales decline. It does however sound a little like a vaping juice name (sorry), and as a vaper I know choosing a vape flavour which is impossible for me, thats why I have stuck with one flavour for the past 5 years (probably it is a personal thing for me). The title Candy Beach is a little misleading as it contains exotic fruits and the Candy kind of indicates it has candy type flavours and although may appeal to kids, young people, I am unsure whether it is the best name. Having said that I think I would need to try out the a sample sachet before buying a bottle. In conclusion I would rethink the name. The colour of bottle may also not be suited (you are right it is a lovely colour) as some of the fragrance elements have exotic fruit and to me do not match the colour of the bottle. Possibly suggest light blue or greenish blue which is beach colour. The word candy in my opinion doesn’t quite fit within the laundry world and I think it may be causing people to be cautious in trying it.

Hiya,
Absolutely love this smell but agree that the name could do with a change – personally not too keen on the colour either but that’s not enough for me to not buy it! I will definitely be re-buying, I just have so many T&A bottles right now there’s no need! P.S. When are we going to get some Date Night refills? Adore the stuff but don’t want to keep buying big bottles.
