It’s 23:34, our team are here at our office preparing for the biggest meeting of our entire life tomorrow, and we really need your help. At 1pm, we are meeting a DIRECTOR of a major big four supermarket!
The laundry aisle is by far the most limited and boring in the entire supermarket, and we think with your vote we can change that! We started Tallow+Ash because we think for something we do so often we shouldn’t have to settle for boring scents, toxic chemicals and a lack of choice.
If you would pick up a T+A bottle, over a Persil, Ariel or any other, please leave a ‘Yes!’, ‘I would!’, ‘absolutely!’ Or any other way you can think to say say yes, so we can take your opinion and show it to the Director tomorrow of how many people would like it!
We’ll let you know how we get on after the meeting tomorrow, and hopefully give a full de-brief on how we got on. Good or bad! If it goes well, we’ll make sure we do a big freebie for everyone who voted to help make the meeting great!
And if it goes bad, we’ll double the prices in the Netherlands again. (Euro’s football joke for anyone who remembers, haha).

Using tallow and ash has changed that for me. Pleasant scent that’s not overpowering and a scent that seems to last too.

I’ve just ordered for the first time the testers and 3 different scents bottles. I’ve only done 2 washes so far I’ve tried oud and duvet day love love love and would love to continue to purchase but cost does come into it in this day and age. I think lower the cost more people will buy increasing your profit so a win win for everyone it is a lovely product x

They are kind to the environment kind to skin even skin conditions smell amazing too and are priced well. They will also boost your sales all round in your supermarkets!! I would love to see the products on the shelves, especially as I have a Tesco delivery saver it’d mean saving money on delivery costs for me and other consumers. But it would be nice to see something different and more luxury scents rather than the same old same old we’re used to with mainstream brands. And always a win for the sustainability and refill aspects, as long as the supermarkets also stock refills

Supermarket brands are so limited and lacks style, innovation or wellbeing of customers. Always the same scent and marketing gimmick like scent pellets lasting 0.5x longer AND fresher! Also destroying your clothes smelling like every one else. I also have ADHD and TNA makes doing the laundry actually FUN because I’m looking forward to try different scent. Most stylish and innovative brand for mundane tasks on the internet. Supermarket don’t be boring!

I commented on the original post and can’t trawl through pages of comments to find mine. We shouldn’t even have too- your team should have noted the first 1000 and applied the code directly to our accounts so there’s none of this hassle. Not a very effective strategy to reward loyalty.

I do agree but, every time something like this goes mainstream it’s fine for a while then one of the other brands will buy it out then back to nothing again. It’s happened time and time again, I get the money would be appealing but if you did start this for the reasons you said I would keep as is otherwise it will get diluted and changed to the point it’s like any other. That’s my take on it

Agree with others, its a time consuming process which doesn’t really seem fair on all that commented to be searching through thousands of pages.
After “helping” and being promised something in return then to find it would take an hour of my time trawling through over 5000 comments before I could receive what was promised was really disappointing!
There’s nearly always a catch. After being disappointed on enough occasions ( ie. Still waiting on fabric spray or elixir to launch) I have decided I will now head straight to subscription cancellation.

I tried to find my comment but to be fair it could be anywhere amongst the 5000 I commented on the day you went to your meeting which helped with your pitch. I have given up searching, I even resorted to searching my name to no avail and now I cannot be bothered anymore. Would have been great to receive a free gift as I never took advantage of my discount I got previously. It is a bit annoying as I was looking forward to being amongst the ones receiving a gift for helping out

I agree with so many of the previous comments. I left a comment too that I cannot find. Seems very ill-judged to make the request after so many showed such goodwill commenting to help you. Very poor PR with your loyal customers.
I’m sorry but who had time to look through thousands of comments to find their comment. I feel this is a way to avoid having to actually give bottles away. I will be switching back to ecover. If you offer giveaways, you need to actually reach out and reward people effectively.

I’m a relative new comer, discovered Tallow+Ash about 3 weeks ago, accepted my first order last week and after reading alot of reviews and everything you had to say about your product I made the leap.
I’ve responded to questionnaires and the request to submit a comment (which I really don’t usually do) all because it felt good, but this “reward” feels hollow. I don’t have time to search through 1000s of comments to then send a screen shot to where??

There is a box to input the email address when leaving a comment, surely that would be the best way to follow through on offer of a free gift? I commented with the purpose of supporting a small unique brand not reimbursement, however this shows poor forethought as no one has the time to trawl through thousands of comments.

Well- I had a go and found my comment on page number 116. It took me around 20 minutes. I agree that this hasn’t actually been thought through as there is no way to filter our name through all the comments find it amongst 1137 pages. Something to think about from IT department side.
Well that is poorly thought out. You should be able to find the details of those who commented. Makes me feel like a complete chump for believing in your hype of how much you love your supporters who pay good money to support your product.. but no – customer can look thru thousands of comments at 4 per page and no search function because we promised something we have no intention of honouring.

Well this is disappointing, I don’t think you have thought this through at all. How are we supposed to screenshot our comments if we can’t find them amoung 5,600 other comments. Plus I’m not clear where I would need to send it even if I do find it. The aim of this promotion was to elicit positive brand feedback, it seems to have backfired….
