Système de recyclage des pochettes de recharge ! ♻️💜

Refill Pouch Recycle System! ♻️💜

17 novembre 2023

Hey, can your refill pouches be put in soft plastic recycling please? 3 years is a very long time not to have addressed this issue for a supposedly eco friendly brand 😢

Amber Watters September 29, 2026

When will the refill returns be implemented? Bower Collective manage this well and I’m happy to collect the pouches if it means I can then post back for reuse. Not being able to return these pouches is a deal breaker for me continuing to use Tallow and Ash which is a shame as the products are great.

Claire September 14, 2026

So the whole point in me ordering from this company is to try and be more eco friendly and kinder to the planet, yet your refills aren’t recyclable??? Might as well just keep buying the actual containers, at least I can recycle them after.

Sarah Keay September 12, 2026

I cannot see any updates on recycling pouches. Please would you let me know and publish how we, the consumer, can achieve this.

Iona Beagent September 06, 2026

Hello

I love this idea!

I have lots of pouches collected currently. Is there an address I could send them to? I don’t mind paying if your system isn’t up and running yet.

Thanks,

Iona

Fran Key September 05, 2026

I emailed asking about the recycling scheme and received a reply saying that you’re working on it with a link to this blog post. However I see that this was posted 3 years ago. Could we have an update please?

Recycling is hugely important to me and I’ve saved my refill pouches. I love your products so far but really feel this needs addressing.

I love the idea of offering free refills in return but feel that’s very over-generous and if that is what’s stopping you moving this forward, I’m sure a refill of either would suffice, not both. Or a generous amount of reward points. Don’t get me wrong I love a freebie but it seems a bit of an empty promise so something more realistic would suffice.

Ann Naghmouchi August 31, 2026

It would be brilliant to be able to send the pouches back to be refilled as it would possibly save alot of plastic

Jess Ainsworth August 24, 2026

100% behind returning the pouches to be refilled…other organisations are already doing this.

Aly Lan August 10, 2026

Any news on this? I’ve kept all my pouches as I feel its not very eco to be throwing them away after opting for pouches in the first place.

Tracey L August 07, 2026

I logged in again today to see if you have anything in place yet to recycle your pouches, as I have kept mine for ages. Please can you provide an update on this important issue. Thanks

Ms E Riley August 05, 2026

When is the recycling scheme going to be up and running? I feel uncomfortable throwing the refill packs away.

Paula Pardy July 31, 2026

How do i recycle with tallow and ash? Or do i recycle in my local area? Doesnt say on the packaging and cant find answer on website?

Laurence Allan July 20, 2026

This post is from Nov23. Is it set up yet? Great that you’re enthusiastic about it, but words are just words…

Natalie Chapman July 12, 2026

I can’t wait for this to be in place – it seems a crime to throw the refill packaging away. To be fully sustainable this is a must

Carol Dunne July 09, 2026

Has the refill packs been set up yet

Gaynor Greaves June 15, 2026

I agree with the refil system for pouches. Seen it done with another company, they send pre paid envelopes out for returns, they held 4 empty pouches.

Rachel June 10, 2026

Agreeing with everything said below – I bought the refill pouches thinking they were less plastic, great for refilling your lovely, substantial bottles BUT assuming I could recycle as soft plastics. Please address this in some way – I’d be happy with a free post label!

Lesley Lucas May 31, 2026

Is your pouch refill system up and running and if so how do I return the pouches?

Thank you

Lesley

Lou Pegg May 06, 2026

This is essential, I love the products but my conscience is telling me that I need to go back to my previous products with sustainable packaging where returns were genuinely reused. your packaging is almost impossible to recycle. And reuse not recycle is soooooo much more sustainable. When do you think you will put this in place. I don’t even care about the free products but I understand incentives will be necessary for some people to engage….

Nigel April 30, 2026

Yeah, I agree with all the other comments. I think it’s a massive oversight to have not baked this process in from the start. Particularly when recycling and reusing has become simply a hygiene factor for customers choosing independent brands. I love the product, but it feels shocking to just throw away pouches when they’re empty. Bower Collective built their business around a return, refill, repeat model and they’ve been doing it successfully for about six years. So it’s quite telling that your original post was 17 November 2023 and nothing’s changed since then. I’m afraid you’ve just lost an otherwise supportive customer. And best not apply to Dragon’s Den for additional support. I think Deborah Meaden might well give you some very frank and forthright ‘feedback’.

Susie Clarke April 28, 2026

I’ve just recently ordered my first refill pouches from you as my selection of plastic bottles is taking up a lot of room under my sink and I like to keep bottles for each of my favourite scents but use the pouches to refill them. I had assumed the pouches could be recycled either by returning them to you or through a supermarket soft plastics recycling point. I feel you need to address this ASAP as it is likely to affect ongoing sales.

Linda Benstead April 22, 2026

Prepaid labels sounds great . I look forward to a release date my empty pouches are adding up . Many thanks Linda Benstead .

Sarah Teasdale April 13, 2026

Do you have any update on the recycling scheme for pouches please?

Definitely think this is the way for T & A to go in terms of sustainability and a rewards scheme would be great.

Claire April 10, 2026

This should have been in place as soon as the refills were available to purchase, not just mentioned as an idea back in 2023. Instead, we’re still waiting. As it stands, the only real incentive to buy refills is saving 50p, while the pouches go straight to landfill. The bottles are recyclable, but the refill system doesn’t reflect the same level of thought, which undermines the sustainability message.

Mayling Bertorelli April 07, 2026

Hi
Is this system now up and running yet. I have been throwing the empty pouches out with the general waste as my council won’t allow these in their recycling bins. I feel pretty guilty about it. How great would it be if your return and recycle system was live!

Farzana April 02, 2026

I have some empty shampoo and conditioner bottles i would like to return for recycling. Could you please inform me where to send.

Thanks

Lisa March 29, 2026

Hi
Can I recycle the refill pouches with you. If so where do I send them to? Thanks

KAREN COBBETT March 27, 2026

Is a pouch recycling scheme in place now?
If so please advise how to return pouches as do not want to order more until I can return the empties.
Thank you

Paul Elkington March 26, 2026

How do i return the pouches, I didnt know this was an option as I have thrown away soo many

Karen March 21, 2026

Is there a system in place yet to return the refill pouches?

Emma-Jane Arnold March 21, 2026

Hello
Can I return my empty pouches back to you guys?
Thank you

Julie Hogan March 20, 2026

This is a great idea, I love Tallow and Ash xx

Nicky March 10, 2026

Similar to above messages, about the recycling pouches. Do you have a system in place to recycle these.

Gaby Williams March 09, 2026

This idea needs action – come on Tallow & Ash.

Karen March 05, 2026

Adding to other comments. Please send an update on recycling.

Sarah March 05, 2026

Love the fragrances but very disappointed that the packaging is non recyclable. Would put me off ordering again as I assumed they were.

Laura Donnelly March 02, 2026

Hello, I want to place an order, but want to make sure the refill recycling scheme is in place before I do. Can you confirm its in place and provide details please? Thanks so much.

Beverley Cushion February 28, 2026

Hi there,

Just echoing a lot of other comments, I’m building up a lot of empty pouches and wondered when you’re able to start taking them back to recycle.
You’ve grown your product range maybe it’s time to consider moving the project along?

I look forward to hearing.
Beverley

Lizzie February 27, 2026

Adding to the voices here to try to add more weight. It’s been years now please sort out the recycling programme or we can only assume the company’s intentions are not as they seem.

Lewis February 21, 2026

Are there any updates on the recycling scheme?

Linda Benstead February 17, 2026

Any update on recycling your pouches . Thankyou

Kate Turner February 15, 2026

Is there any update on a recycling scheme for pouches and or bottles? Would really love to do this.

Alex February 01, 2026

Would it be possible to make concentrate to refill our existing empty bottles? Less waste and less packaging?

Margo Shephard January 29, 2026

Hi
I am just wondering if anyone from Tallow and Ash is going to answer the many questions about your refill recycling system?

Fiona Lumley January 24, 2026

Hello, I don’t use any other laundry product than Tallow and Ash, over the last year (bearing in mind, we are a house of 7) we have accumulated a lot of empty refill pouches, I know i cant pop them in tge recycling bin and I am still hoping a system will be set up like my coffee pods, I bag and post back. As much as rewards sounds good it is not a priority, I don’t want them to go into landfill. Thank you for your delicious scents, we all smell lovely.
Fiona lumley.
fiona.varley@ntlworld.com

Nicola Stevens January 22, 2026

Any update on recycling or reusing the pouches please? Like so many of your subscribers I LOVE your products but have a cupboard full of empty pouches!!!! Don’t want to go elsewhere but not happy that you are not being as environmentally friendly as some of the competition!!

Marina January 19, 2026

This article is from 2023 and it doesn’t seem to be something you’re doing, nor can I get a refill of the fabric spray.

Sadly I will have to cancel my subscription and find an alternative.

Kay Jessop January 09, 2026

I am new to you and have just used my first refills. Loving the product! I see a few years ago you were setting up a returns system for packaging. How do I go about returning my packaging, please. Many thanks, Kay.

Gilly Platt January 08, 2026

I really love your products and have carried on using them as I expected the system to be in place to be able to return the pouches to you. It’s very disappointing that neither the bottles or the pouches as yet can be recycled. Lots of other companies manage to do it so it just feels it’s not a priority for you, unless you can reassure me otherwise.
I have so many pouches that I’ve saved hoping to return to you. I’m now wondering if I can carry on using the product or if I switch to one that can be recycled.

clare Pearce January 05, 2026

Please take returns of the pouches very soon. Bowyer use the same pouches on their goods, plus they accept returns of them!

h f mcmanus January 04, 2026

The recycling initiative for pouches would be just about the best thing you could do.

Khandiz December 22, 2025

As many of the others in the this thread have alluded too, the fact your pouches aren’t recyclable and your pouch recycling programme is still not up and running (as far as I can tell) I sadly have to cancel my subscription.

Sophia Shirley-Beavan December 16, 2025

Hi there, I’m joining all the comments above re your recycling of the refill packs. I have bought a few from you but am unwilling to do so again until it is easier to send the pouches back to you. As I’m sure you are aware, Bower Collective send out a card envelope to send back once you have a number of empty pouches. If you did this I would have no qualms about buying from you, knowing that I could send the pouches back for ( preferably ) reuse by you as they do.

Debbie von Bergen December 08, 2025

Please make the pouch recycle scheme a reality – after all places like Citizens of Soil and Bower Collective both do it already. If not I will sadly, not be able to buy from you again as I try to limit single use plastic at all times.

Marcia Manderson November 27, 2025

Do you have any idea when your recycling service will be up and running?

Thanks

Rhea Williams November 26, 2025

I too would love to be able to recycle the pouches. I’ve just emptied one and been scouring the back to see if it said anything about recycling, even that it could be put in my recycling plastics bin or not. But nothing. Shame. I too love the product, though am not sure I need the conditioner that is always part of the deal. But I love the smell.

Suzie Coulthurst November 14, 2025

Just an FYI I’ve stopped buying from you because of the lack of consideration about the refills and how they can be sustainably reused. It’s a shame. I have about 20 I’ve been holding onto and am so sad they will go to landfill.

Nicola McAndrew November 09, 2025

Is this getting any closer to happening? I’ve got about 30 pouches I could return to you!

Adele Wignall November 05, 2025

Yes I’m really gutted this has not been sorted yet. I feel I’ll give it to the start of 2026 then will have to revert to other companies who offer recycling options

Jennifer Sanders November 04, 2025

Where do I recycle my pouches I love the products but if I can’t recycle these then I won’t be able to continue buying as this is very important to me ?! Thanks

Maddie November 03, 2025

Hi! Is this any closer to being introduced? I have empty pouches just floating around my house and I don’t want them to go to landfill, but moving them around is becoming a bit of a pain, I don’t have the space!

Rebecca Wood November 03, 2025

Is this refill scheme any nearer being introduced? You’ve got such a great thing going, I think to be more sustainable through recycling / reusing the pouches would be the icing on the cake. If not, could you look at alternative packing that we can recycle at home?

Sam Lewis November 01, 2025

Yes we are now 2 years on from that and still no option to recycle pouches?

Sophia Clarke November 01, 2025

I came here looking foe info avout how i recyle the pouches, not knowing a recycling programme was in development. Excellent! Can you give an idea how close we are to launch? Many thanks.

Keri Dewar October 26, 2025

Hi there, I love the idea of returning my refill pouches to you, I hate the idea of them going to landfill ! When and where can I send them please 🙏

Julianne Ryan October 23, 2025

I think a huge positive for your brand is your customers being able to send back the pouches and you refill them for customers. I don’t care if they are slightly damaged, but i think they are pretty robust and i’d be surprised if any came back damaged which means the quality of customers receive is still very good. You could add a little card with them that tells the customer their pouch has been recycled and reused. Again a positive. If hygiene is an issue then you could ensure all pre-used pouches were wiped with a disinfectant before being refilled. Again, much better for the environment that this happens than just throwing them out. I honestly think customers would support this massively. You could always have a section on your site where the customer ticks a box to say they are happy to receive pre-used pouches in their next order. Anyway, food for thought, but the sooner you can get this working the better I think. Good Luck!

Keith Kichenbrand October 09, 2025

Is the recycling scheme still in place?

Jeanie Reid September 30, 2025

I recently bought some of your refill pouches as I already had the bottles. I would really be interested in a recycle or refill service in a bid to cut down on my waste. It makes sense, as you do so many other things right!

Jeanie Reid September 30, 2025

Hayley Marshall September 24, 2025

Hi,

I currently use a different brand whose pouch is returnable for them to reuse. Would love to try your product once this has been developed.

Any updates?

Nicky Kenward September 09, 2025

Recycling the pouches is a fantastic idea. Bower Collective do this already and it works really well. They send a prepaid box to put your empties in.

Jan September 01, 2025

Hello, yes I would be interested in returning the refillable pouches if there is a returns label sent out along with the pouches as we don’t all have a printer ect

Lauren August 31, 2025

Hi, is there any update on this? I love your products! But it’s been nearly two years since this was posted and like other comments, I really don’t like the fact that the refill pouches can’t be recycled. I use an olive oil company that send oil in similar pouches and you can return them free post and they use Terracycle to recycle all their pouches. I think a solution needs to be decided or you may lose customers 😢

Felicia Fai August 24, 2025

I’d love your bottles and pouches to be recyclable either via return scheme as per this blog or via supermarkets or council schemes. I love your product but not being able to recycle all the packing is making me think twice about whether to continue buying them – I already moved to just buying pouches after 4 sets of bottles. I just see it all piling up in my garage and it makes me so sad to think that maybe you won’t be able to move to greater recycling (being a small company) and that all of that pile will have to go to landfill.

Jenny August 21, 2025

Would love to return recycle pouches to you. In the meantime I’ll keep mine so hopefully when this comes on stream I can send them back to you. Love the product. Well done

Daniela Spinello August 06, 2025

This is a great idea, another company I use for other products is very similar and it works perfectly. I collect at home as many pouches as possible and then I post them in a cardboard envelope that they send me with every order. The postage is free for me.

Rebecca July 07, 2025

Great idea!
I hate throwing them away.
Please tell us when it will start, thanks.

Danny July 06, 2025

Is this system in place yet?

Mel July 02, 2025

Great idea… I already do this on some of my cleaning products & it’s great to know you’re also considering it – hate throwing them in the bin !!

Julia Larmour June 29, 2025

Just had a quick surf to find out how to recycle the refill pouches. Might be an idea to print on the pouch or order as I was all set to bin them but will now save until I have 6!

Maria Bertone June 27, 2025

Excellent idea. Just now I have come to the end of my refill pouch and will put to one side to return back to yourselves when system is up and running. Keep up the great work – not easy I know and requires lots of commitment.

Keri June 22, 2025

I love this idea, the pouches always put me off. Like others, the recycling is more important than free products. I’d happily do this. Please make it happen. I have some empty bottles I’d like to send back too, as I actually don’t trust the recycling system from councils and governments.

Sarah Fendt June 19, 2025

Would be good to finally see this recycling scheme put into action – it’s a great idea! ☺️

Janice Newman June 19, 2025

What about the bottles?

Sue Hatton June 06, 2025

This is a great idea. I will continue to save my pouches. Please let me know when you decide you have sorted this out. To be honest the recycling is more important to me than the free products.

Diana Scodreanu June 05, 2025

Hi, are there any updates with this? I have 2 refill pouches and not sure if they can go to the soft plastic recycling in supermarkets.

Hannah langthorp June 04, 2025

Are the refill pouches recyclable ? Thank you

Kathy Jenkins June 01, 2025

I am relatively new to this product, is there a pouch return system set up yet?
Thanks

Claire Machin May 29, 2025

I would definitely like this

Amanda Dove May 27, 2025

I have saved my empty refill pouches and have quite a few that I could send back. I thought this was something already in place, so I would love it if this was implemented.

Dolina Mackenzie May 27, 2025

Absolutely, I would be behind this idea 100% just as soon as is possible.

Dolina Mackenzie May 27, 2025

Absolutely, I would be behind this idea 100% just as soon as is possible.

Jenny Briley May 26, 2025

Yes please. Another company I use for or her cleaning products already does this. With QR code to see how many times its been Reused. This would be awesome.

Please please do this my council doesn’t recycle these refill packets. And so goes against the grain of eco friendly.

So this would be a definite YES PLEASE from me

Francesca Hill May 22, 2025

Fully on board with this idea. Have thrown away too many pouches already so the sooner the better!

Lidia Gilmurray May 22, 2025

I love your recycling system concept and would really like to know when this system will be up and running 😊

Elizabeth Davies May 17, 2025

Just emailed you about this. Great idea when will it happen please.

Sue Doo May 13, 2025

I appreciate that the pouches take up less space etc – when can we start recycling them? Your message is from November 23 -

sarah mallett May 11, 2025

Excellent idea for recycling of pouches, and what I would expect (Splosh offer a recycling scheme). Any news on when this will be up and running? In the meantime I’m saving my pouches!

Jennifer Sharp May 05, 2025

Do you do labels to return used pouches of Tallow and Ash?

JULIE TAYLOR May 04, 2025

Hello is this pouch recycling system going to happen please? I have 6+ pouches waiting to be recycled. Its a great idea and the sort of thing I look for in a company.

Kim Pearce April 26, 2025

Great idea! Is this likely to happen soon?

Lisa van der Kraan April 24, 2025

Love the idea of sending the pouches back to you. I’ll be watching this space and have my pouches lined up for return 😁

Kate Martin April 13, 2025

Confused ? Can we send back or not ? Won’t be continuing with subscription if not so please let me know

Laura April 09, 2025

I think this is a really great incentive to get people on board with recycling more. Would love to see this happen 🫶🏼

Jo B April 07, 2025

Hiya, is this live? I’ve started a subscription for the pouches and would like an option to send these back rather than go to landfill, can you let us all know if this is going ahead?

Tara Dougan March 31, 2025

I’m a New Customer and also interested in the Recycle Scheme for Refill Pouches, I’ve noticed there has been no response to previous comments on this, please advise if this is currently in place or will be going ahead? Tx

Elizabeth March 17, 2025

Have you started the recycling for the refill pouches?

Debra Pays-Welburn March 06, 2025

If this returns system hasn’t been implemented yet I doubt it will – it looks like they’ve been talking about it since 2023. I’m sad to say I will look elsewhere for my products as these non-recyclable pouches are unacceptable.

Cassie Armitt March 01, 2025

Do we have an update on when we can use this service as I have some to send. I think it’s a great initiative. Thanks

Cecile February 28, 2025

Love the idea of sending back pouches to be reused! I’ve used brands of soap who were having the same system and I think it is brilliant and definitely get along the eco label you have on all your process of production. I’ve just started with your products and the smell is amazing so I’m looking forward to the pouches service 😊

Andre Smith February 28, 2025

How do I recycle the laundry refill packages?

Thank you
Andrea

Ann February 26, 2025

Can we now send the the pouches back or recycle them with our recycling at home

Tracey Dutertre February 25, 2025

I have several bottles as I am trying new fragrances each time to find my favourite. Once I have decided I am more than happy to order pouches. Until then what should I do with the bottles? Can they go into my home recycling bin?

Judith Cooper February 24, 2025

I also thought recycling the pouches was already possible, which is also one of the reasons why we started using them? Is it not possible?

Anna Sanders February 21, 2025

Id be happy to build up the pouches and send them back. Do this with my Lush bottles. Maybe just add a credit to the account so it can be taken off at the checkout as the reward part, happy just to send them back though 🥰🧺🫧

Abigail Pepperman February 19, 2025

Yes, would be very interested in this as it is hard to work out where these can be recycled.

Tracey Austin February 17, 2025

I too would be very interested in both a pouch and bottle recycling scheme ♻️ I really like T & A products but the amount of plastic I’ve accumulated since switcing feels at odds with an attempt be more sustainable.

Corinne Hatwell February 08, 2025

Can you tell me how I recycle your refill pouches please? I have 10 pouches ready to send. Thank you.

Suzanne February 08, 2025

I thought this was in place, that’s part of why I started using these.. any news on when?

Caroline Peek February 07, 2025

I too am happy to return pouches with a prepaid envelope ( minimum volume required ). I do this with my Bower products . I wouldn’t want anything in return – particularly not a set with plastic bottles as using pouches this defeats the object . I also doubt being coloured the bottles aren’t recycled when put in the local authority recycling bins .

Gemma Hindley February 07, 2025

Hi ,

Just wondering if you collected and reused the plastic bottles? They seem too nice to discard in the waste so wondered if you recycled?

Regards
Gemma

Maz February 03, 2025

Agreed this is a great idea. I also would like information on whether the pouches are currently recyclable and as what? Do they count as plastic, or plastic bag? Please keep us posted on the recycle pouch scheme.

Imogen February 03, 2025

I have been saving up my pouches! When is this happening? Thought this was in place when I ordered or I wouldn’t have started my subscription…

Mrs Diane Holland January 28, 2025

Hi is this up and running yet? Like a previous comment I didn’t realise this system was not already in place when I ordered. I would be interested without any incentive just a return label.

Katherine Benton January 27, 2025

Would be very interested in this product if recycling was an option. Bower collective offer this return service for their cleaning products/shampoos etc so it’s definitely do-able, they re-use where possible or recycle. No incentives required just caring about waste and recycling ♻️🙏🏼

Ell January 27, 2025

I think this would be an incredible idea! Like someone else said, I wouldn’t expect a free product, just a return label maybe- the reduction of waste is incentive enough. I’m really keen to try your products but I currently refill at a local zero-waste shop so feel like I can’t just yet without this scheme as it would cause much more waste than I have at the minute. Ill keep checking back to stay updated :)

Sarah Carpenter January 18, 2025

This is a great idea – please get it up and running as soon as possible

Jeanette January 17, 2025

I have been wondering if the pouches are recyclable so this scheme is excellent. When will it be up and running?

Sarah Hill January 11, 2025

Is this system any closer to coming to fruition? I didn’t realise that the pouches couldn’t be recycled when I set up my subscription, but prefer not to get recyclable bottles every time.

Catherine Sim January 09, 2025

This is such a great idea 💡, are you any further forward with this yet as I’m keeping the pouches so I can send them back to you, I also keep my bottles which I have got doubles of just in case I can return them also.
#tallow-ash💜
#celestial4eva

Debra Pays-Welburn January 06, 2025

As with other comments, I am waiting to hear you have got this system up and running. I have another subscription for other cleaning products and they have the system in place and it works really well. Rather than get a free product in return, they supply the return boxes so it doesn’t cost anything to send the empty pouches back. I’m hoping this is a priority for you – we all need to do everything we can to reduce waste. Thank you or the lovely product in the meantime.

Nicky January 02, 2025

I would love this idea and wouldn’t even expect anything in return as it is about doing something good for the planet…if you supply the returns bag/box (a bit like when I recycle my coffee pods) then I would happily return mine.

Sarah Mackintosh January 02, 2025

Any update? I’m saving mine too in the hope it happens!

Janet NELSON December 28, 2024

Great idea to cut down on waste

Grazia December 05, 2024

Please share with us what is happening with this idea as I’m saving all the pouches… running out of space.

Thank you

Laura Braysford December 03, 2024

How long before this is up and running?

Emma Lea December 03, 2024

This would be fantastic- keeping all my pouches for now until this is up and running!

Isha Shah November 22, 2024

This is amazing, i’ve just seen. What’s the address we send them to?

Dominique Thompson November 16, 2024

Yes ! This is a great idea and definitely one which I would support.

Eryn Jones November 10, 2024

Any progress with this?? I’m saving all my bottles!

Sue October 31, 2024

A wonderful idea💜💜….hope you can get it up and running soon as my empty pouches are mounting up!!!

Amanda October 29, 2024

Love this idea. Have done it with companies in the past and it works really well.

Sarah Mackintosh October 24, 2024

This is the best idea, I’ve been looking to see if this is something you do, please make it happen!

T Lamb October 12, 2024

Yes! I came here to find out if the pouches were recyclable, as was a bit disappointed to not find any advice on the pouch itself. This would be a great idea!

Lucie C Hague October 11, 2024

Yes The Bower Collective operate this system🙏🙏🙏 i was slightly surprised you haven’t employed such a system as it doesn’t align with your ethos but glad to hear you will be adopting 👍

ella pays October 01, 2024

I’d be much happier to know the refill pouches would either be reused or recycled. I’m a bit sad to know it’s not possible yet but I love the product. Once it’s up and running I’ll definitely be a customer again but until then I’d rather find a more eco friendly way.

Brenda October 01, 2024

The recycling concept is spot on for me thanks.

Vicky Faulkner September 25, 2024

Yes!!!! Do it. Another company do this. I was a little disappointed you didn’t already but love your products so please do!!!

Qaisra Nazeer September 10, 2024

I did write about this idea earlier. Would love to have it actioned.
X

Dolina Mackenzie September 10, 2024

Great idea, i have kept all my empty refill pouches just in case there would be a time when they could be returned to be re-used. I’m definitely “in”.

michelle cochrane August 02, 2024

YES! This is a brilliant idea I’m in no way a massive eco warrior but just doing the little things do make a difference and the thought of an incentive is icing on the cake (not literally) 😂😂

Ms Joanne Pearce-Timmins July 22, 2024

I am a avid recycler and would love to see this or any kind of recycling system in place. Maybe a envelope to return the used refils so you guys can recycle them for us 1 or 2 sachets at a time

Karen July 17, 2024

Are the Shampoo and Conditioner suitable for washing silk and wool clothing?

Emily July 12, 2024

Excellent initiative here. Really
Hope this gets moving fast to reduce waste! As an investor this is the kind of thing I hope to see with a new product I’m on board with and paving the way for others to follow is vital. There are many other sustainable brands in the cleaning industry offering this service for their products already, it would be good to keep on par and see this brand rise as one of the better for the planet whist offering such great products that actually do the job too.

Kirsty July 09, 2024

I am eagly awaiting for more news on this . Also to save the waste on the bottle I plan on reusing it with other scented refills . A generic bottle without the fragrance written on it would be amazing and I think would save so many bottles too

Jo Boughton-White July 09, 2024

I am really disappointed with the brand, they call pouches ‘planet friendly’ but they are not recyclable – they even use the recycling symbol on the web page too. Just be honest and less ‘green washing’ please.
I don’t understand this post either as they are either recyclable or they are not? But you seem reluctant to share the material they are made from. I also doubt very much you could re-use unless you are able to wash and clean between and remove printed batch number from the packaging!!

Rachel June 27, 2024

Why have you gone quiet on the recycling? I’m put off buying any more as the planet friendly claim doesn’t seen to be a reality. What do I do with my pouches?

Jess June 19, 2024

Hello, can pouches be recycled yet?

Louise Brookes June 19, 2024

Love the laundry products but will find it difficult to reorder until the refill pouches are either recyclable or returnable. Will monitor the situation.

Nicola Wilkie June 19, 2024

I’d love to be able to return the bottles to you…. I’d to purchase the Date Night as you didn’t have it in your sample pack… can I send the empty bottles back for recycling?

Benjamin Mahoney June 19, 2024

Has this incentive started, in
Conscious about plastics. Some
Of your scents (candy crush) don’t come in refill so had to get
The bottles can the bottled be sent back for reuse?

Sarah Parsonage March 30, 2024

Can pouches be recycled yet?

Andrea Rimmer March 21, 2024

Could your return address be printed directly on the refil pouches so that they can be popped straight in the post to your recycling partners.

emily lewis March 18, 2024

would love to be able to send pouches back, Is this up and running yet ?

Kirsty Unsworth March 14, 2024

Has the recycle programme started yet please & is it only for pouches or for bottles as well please?

Melinda March 05, 2024

Hi,
When can I send the pouches back? I already saved a big pile of them. I’d be happy to send them back at my own cost. 😁 Love the idea and love your products.

Henri Boothby March 03, 2024

Hi there
Has this system of returning pouches started yet? I have been diligently saving my used pouches just in case as I didn’t want to just throw them away. Absolutely love your product and we get so many comments as to how good our clothes smell.
Regards
Henrietta

Gillian Cleveland February 10, 2024

Just ordered your product to try as really interested in planet friendly clean products and reducing my plastic waste. I was a little disappointed in the plastic wrapping that your sample products arrived in and would like to see you use packaging that isn’t plastic. I have to say that on opening the bag there was an explosion of the most delicious fragrances and I can’t wait to start trying them out.

Sally Hargrave January 24, 2024

I would very much welcome this idea! Anything to reduce single use plastic would be brilliant. Small steps make big impact 😊

Chloe Chilton January 10, 2024

Love this idea! It works well for Bower, they supply a prepaid envelope and suggest 4 of their refill bottles to be put in it. Then just pop the envelope in a post box 💜

Chloe Chilton January 10, 2024

Love this idea! It works well for Bower, they supply a prepaid envelope and suggest 4 of their refill bottles to be put in it. Then just pop the envelope in a post box 💜

Amanda Butwell December 12, 2023

I’m new to this but absolutely love your products. I’ve got a couple of pouches to return for recycling so I’ll just hold onto them until you get your system up and running. What a brilliant idea and what a gorgeous product.. so glad I found you! Amanda

Janette King (Home) December 08, 2023

Excellent idea!

George Smith December 08, 2023

Great idea!

Nicki Thompson December 08, 2023

This is an excellent idea. Well done Stacey Smith for suggesting this.

Samantha December 08, 2023

Yes will happily do this. Would love to do the same thing with the plastic containers!

Wendy Catt-Camfield December 08, 2023

Love this idea. Definitely on board

Sue Nuttall December 08, 2023

the best thing since sliced cheese, i love the refill systems, less plastic bottles, reuse, nothing going into landfil, send back and reuse, great idea, thankyou for doing it, im trying to use less plastic and using refils ticks all my boxes

Iona Charlotte Maben December 08, 2023

I love this idea because I love to containers and can’t bring myself to throw them away so now I won’t have to eeek

Emily Ball November 22, 2023

Great idea

Janine November 20, 2023

Fantastic idea!

Debbie Pearce November 20, 2023

I would be happy to participate in refill scheme

Leah November 20, 2023

Yes, would absolutely do this. Great idea!

Joanne Acott November 20, 2023

I think it’s an absolutely amazing idea.
Well done Stacey smith!

Sarah Bevan November 20, 2023

This sounds like a brilliant idea. So far I’m loving your product. I’m a sucker for great packaging and design, in which you excel. That said, this is a cleaning product, so I do want the cleaning results to match the packaging and fragrance. On whites I’m not experiencing great cleaning, which is disappointing, though I’m currently continuing because I love your product. Are you working on the cleaning results? Will you be bringing out a spot cleaner for stains?

Lastly, I discovered Tallow & Ash on Instagram and immediately placed an order. I never do that, which speaks volumes on your brilliant marketing campaign, and the product concept. Ingenious!

Best
Sarah

Jo Wrigley November 20, 2023

This is a great idea but the hard bottles are not always necessary. I ordered the bottles in the summer, and once I’d used them, I put them in the recycling. When I saw you’d cracked the refills, I ordered those and have been using them directly as I’m unable to decant them. What I need is the fluid, I don’t really need the hard bottles and the hard bottles are more impactful on the environment than the pouches. But I’d happily receive free pouches on returning 6. That’s a great idea.

Lara Mountfort November 20, 2023

I think that this is a great idea. I do recycle using the council collection, but I am conscious that a lot of recycling does end up in landfill as not everyone recycles responsibly and a lot ends up too contaminated.

Lisa Gallier November 20, 2023

Absolutely love this idea. Have changed my subscription to pouches, will refill all my bottles that I’ve kept and would be hapy to save up and then return the empty pouches.

Jo Heuston November 20, 2023

Yes great idea. The product is lovely but the waste from the bottles is an issue for me and this solves it. I was already using a refillable laundry product so this scheme would make me continue using your product.

Mrs Maria M A Johnstone November 20, 2023

Fabulous idea, love that you could send pouches back big thumbs up from me 👍

lorraine richmond November 20, 2023

Love this idea

Sara Wass November 20, 2023

I love this idea. I’ve already changed my subscription to refills for my next order & will continue to use these as I’ve kept all my old bottles!
This is a fantastic incentive which I’m sure will be very popular.

Nina smith November 20, 2023

I think your recycling idea is amazing. Recycling plastic these days is really important. Giving an incentive to recycle is something not many companies does yet, so this would be a fab addition to the values of Tallow and Ash. A big thumbs up from me. Xx

Sam McManus November 20, 2023

Absolutely love this idea, it sounds great. Would definitely participate in this.

Francesca Bonomini November 20, 2023

Love this, yet again Tallow & Ash the dream team of T&A, customer and planet 💚

David November 20, 2023

Yes i like this idea. Having prepaid labels to return makes it easy. I could go with that 😊

Trudie Bloomfield November 20, 2023

I love the idea of using refill pouches, however, can’t it be that when we send back x6 refill pouches we get a free set of refill pouches rather than the original bottles? Also, if we kept a box our deliveries come in we could use that to return to you keeping within sustainable usage. A prepaid returns label is a great idea you could include in packaging when we order refill pouches so have on hand when ready to send back to you.
Have you thought of a way we could either get vouchers or a code to gift to someone over xmas or just a gift for a birthday maybe? Gets your brand to people who haven’t heard of you yet?
Keep doing what your doing guys you are an inspiration to us all.

Anonymous November 20, 2023

Love the idea of the refill return system as I was considering getting the pouches but didn’t know where I’d then be able to recycle them. Would definitely encourage me to keep shopping with you if there were further green incentives! x

Kevin Graham November 20, 2023

Hi, instead of sending a free detergent and conditioner in plastic bottles as gift, why not send the refill pouches as a gift, assuming the pouches are more eco friendly than the plastic bottles? Thanks Kevin

Alison Clarke November 20, 2023

Brilliant idea. I would definitely do this

Sal November 20, 2023

Really really love this idea. We have to do everything we can to reduce plastic use and consumption.

Kate van der Meer November 20, 2023

I would be really interested in this system 👍👍

Alice November 20, 2023

I think this is a great idea.

Stephen November 20, 2023

Brilliant idea, really hope you get this to work.

Lisa Almond November 20, 2023

I have been really hoping that you guys would do this.

I keep many of my containers because they look really good on the shelf in the utility room. With these pouches, I can reuse the bottles, as it always seems such a shame to throw them out. Thank you

Julia Perrin November 20, 2023

Great idea, but I think it would be preferable to send a free refill packs rather than another 2 plastic bottles. Or have an option to choose between new bottles or refills. I would send mine back regardless.

Jane Radecki November 20, 2023

I’d certainly be up for giving this idea a try!!! 💫

Aedie Liew November 20, 2023

That’s a very good idea.. good for the environment and free set for us too..
I’ve tried a few other brands .. smell doesn’t last as long as my favourite- Duvet Days.. will be sticking to this for now.:
Thank you

Hilary Keith November 20, 2023

This is a brilliant idea. The packaging was a big concern to me so being able to send it back for reuse makes me very happy. The gift is a fantastic bonus

G November 20, 2023

Hi! I think this is a great idea! It’s very important to move to reuse systems and stop relying on recycling. I’ll wait for this to come to try your products as I’m trying to move to reuse.

Kathryn knight November 20, 2023

Brilliant idea! Recycling is a fantastic idea but Getting rewarded is the icing on the cake!

Alysia Kirk November 20, 2023

Love the idea of a recycle system whereby you send empties back in return for full ones. However, if someone is using the refill pouches and sends 6 of them back, it would make more sense to then give that person 2 new pouches of their choice because they’ve probably already got the bottles. Otherwise that person would end up with loads of bottles they don’t need.

Deborah Morby November 20, 2023

What a great idea. Love this. As long as they can all be re-used that would be fab.

Alex Boyer November 20, 2023

Even if we didn’t get a freebie, I’d be fully involved with this idea. Anything to save the amount of plastic we have to recycle. And it would be such a shame to keep recying these beautiful bottles.

Liza T November 20, 2023

Great idea! Consider only sending the returns label with refill no.6 so that you don’t waste any labels or miss any customers returns? Or have it as a option to tick on checkout?

Emma November 20, 2023

Yes I would like to do the pouch return

Sandra Collins November 20, 2023

Think it’s an excellent idea & certainly one I’d use. I’ve already ordered my first two refill pouch sets which should be arriving any day soon, so am really pleased to see this and won’t have to throw the pouches away now. Pre paid labels sounds a good way to go.

Steph November 20, 2023

This is a great idea!

Justina November 20, 2023

Idea is great, but what about having 2 blank pouches and purchaser on return fills in the form and marks which product they would like to be refilled with? When refils are sent you just include a little form to fill in and free postage bag

Sarah November 20, 2023

Think this is a great idea could you pick discount of pouches rather the bottles as probably buying refills as you don’t want the bottles ?

Alison November 20, 2023

Great idea. Sign me up😁

Janet MURRAY November 20, 2023

Sorry just thought of something else. Surely a gift of a free set of pouches is better? If I’m sending pouches back I must already have the bottles?

Janet MURRAY November 20, 2023

Definitely up for this! Reducing waste is always a great idea

Hazel Caldeira November 20, 2023

I love this idea, I hate throwing anything out if I think it could be reused

Mickey November 20, 2023

Love the idea of this but surely it would be better to get a free refill pack? If I’m refilling my bottles to save waste, the last thing I want is more bottles that I’ll then have to recycle…

Janet Howe November 20, 2023

Yes. I definitely be interested in this option

Antonina Holt November 20, 2023

Fantastic idea!!!!! I’m in!!!

Kate Harvey November 20, 2023

This is a fantastic idea. It’s a win win situation for you, us and the environment! xx

Wendy Grey November 20, 2023

Great idea. I’m in!!

Temi Adelaja November 20, 2023

This is definitely something I would be interested in. Many people are interested in supporting companies that promote recycling.

Jacqueline Rogers November 20, 2023

I think its a fantastic idea 🤩💜

Hazel Brooks November 20, 2023

I think it’s an absolutely perfect idea and would definitely do it.

Jan Harrison November 20, 2023

Brilliant idea.
Definitely interested.

Becky Crawford November 20, 2023

Such a good idea 😊

Julie-Ann Mitchell November 20, 2023

Great idea 👍🏻 Would definitely use.

Rachel November 20, 2023

Great idea. So this is essentially equivalent to ‘buy 3 and get one free’ ? (Swap 6 empty pouches for 2 full bottles?).

Iryna November 20, 2023

Good afternoon Tallow+ASH
I received my trial order today, but one sample leaked. perhaps you can send me this sample.

Thanks ,

Guy November 20, 2023

Could you not reduce the amount of packaging by making a smaller bottle that is actually full rather than a large bottle that is only 2/3 full or even charge a bit more for a full bottle.

Josephine Kennedy November 20, 2023

Instead of sending out bottles as a freebie thank you maybe give the option of a set of the bottles or a refill pouch. If you already have bottles in the scent you’re choosing you wouldn’t need the bottles.

Kath Molloy November 20, 2023

Love this idea – well done!

Louise Kennedy November 20, 2023

Think this is an absolutely great idea

Laura Parkhill November 20, 2023

Love this idea and I’d def use it. Getting something for recycling the pouches is a brill way to get customers to use the service

G November 20, 2023

This is such an awesome and innovative idea. I would love to be able to ship empty refills back and be rewarded for that!

Caroline Peek November 20, 2023

I’d be happier with refills or % money off next order rather than free bottles , the whole concept of the refills is to reduce the plastic bottles . I have 3 sets so don’t need anymore. To be fair I wouldn’t expect anything free for sending back the pouches – this a small effort I can make to try reduce plastic useage.

Andrea O'Connell November 20, 2023

Yes. Absolutely. I love the idea of being able to send packaging back & be rewarded for it. So much better than putting it in my recycling bin & hoping it actually does get recycled & not go to landfill.

Su Milne November 20, 2023

I think this is a fabulous idea. But maybe as a thank you it should be refill pouches you give free as this then helps towards the next six and so on plus it stops more plastic bottles.
Keep up the fantastic ideas and the beautiful smelling laundry products.

Nichola Carlisle November 20, 2023

Absolutely! Was disappointed to see the price for a pouch was virtually the same as the bottle, so I think some sort of encouragement to purchase the pouches is required – however is it not taking a step backwards with offering a duo of bottles as a reward?
Perhaps a monetry value on your account to use against whatever you choose may be an alternative suggestion?

Pauline Woods November 20, 2023

Great idea re returning pouches and getting free laundry pack. Would definitely be interested

Dr Ashley Fripp November 20, 2023

Great idea! Definitely woukd encourage me to buy more!

Helen November 20, 2023

Any way which you can make your products more environmentally friendly would be great. Have you thought glass refillable bottles such as done my Fill or Miniml?
