I thought you had serious environmentally friendly credentials. Wipes create more rubbish, and dry out. Spray works a treat and can be used on a cloth

Please don’t, even biodegradable ones are designed to be thrown away and remain an environmental persistence. You can spray onto a reusable washable cloth instead, maybe design a bamboo or plant based cloth instead?
