Today, the Tallow + Ash team went back to fragrance school.
We spent the day learning more about how fragrance is built, how different notes work together and why some scent combinations just work.
Fragrance has always been at the heart of Tallow + Ash. We work with expert perfumers to create scents that make your laundry smell like luxury perfume - so understanding scent is a pretty important part of what we do.
Here are five of our favourite takeaways from today ☺️

Once training was over, we asked the team to put everything into practice and build their ultimate T+A fragrance combinations.

Carla’s pick is definitely my winner. The Pear from the Fresh Pistachio with Icing on the Cake and Vanilla give vibes of a Rich Poached Pear Dessert served in a Michelin Star Restaurant.
I love scent layering and in addition to the laundry I also do this with my colognes and deodorant to get a holistic scent that’s more than the sum of it’s parts. All together I get constant compliments.
Maisie I think, although it might be a trick question because all smell fab.

This is a very hard decision as all are fantastic even used as a room spray but my choice is oud

Maisie’s pick sounds perfect. As one of the OG’s duvet day is probably my absolute favourite with date night a very close 2nd, (a special mention for Bahama vibes). I’ve currently got those along with fresh pistachio, summer fling, oud, and odyssey on rotation depending on what I’m washing. I think I’ve tried every scent that’s been made so far. It’s an obsession at this point 😬😂☺️

I have tried most of the range now and I have to say I mix things up depending on what I am washing. Either Date night or duvet day for my bedding. Summer Fling or pistachio f my day wear but spooky szn for my winter jumpers.
But here Carla’s selection would be my choice

I am with Maisie! Just love duvet day! However I do like to move between scents for that ‘new’ smell feeling otherwise i feel like i become nose blind to a scent after a while lol! Just picked up the Christmas one, oh my goodness it is Christmas in a bottle!!! Love it!
My second wash load is on, I’m already addicted to the glorious scents. I’m using the samples atm to try and work out what I love most.
