I fell hard and bought most of the difference fragrances whist still a relatively new user – so when I noticed washes didn’t always hold scent I was gutted. Longer cycles / 40 degrees or over seems to fair much better and retain scent well. If I am doing a shorter/ cooler cycle, I have started pausing mid-rinse, holding ( or should that be steeping?) the wash for 10-20 mins in the softener stage, if I am around when it’s running. It definitely helps with scent retention. The thing I can’t seem to improve is the white cast marks on dark clothes – if anyone can suggest how to solve that (without double rinsing and wiping out any scent pickup) please let me know.

I’m exactly the same, I spent a fortune on tallow and Ash also referred loads of friends and I’m in the same boat!

Hi. This worked for me….Your washing machine detergent drawer will fully be fully removable. Detach it and scrub out the whole cavity. Do a boil wash with soda crystals and white vinegar. Chuck in dull cotton whites! Good luck.
