Spray would be easier for spot treatment

I like the powder but I prefer a spray as it is easier to get to the stubborn stains, I have cats and muddy paw prints are a nightmare so I like to spot treat stains before I wash them.

Definitely a spray, for some reason a lot of the powder clumps up in my drawer and doesn’t wash down? Can I use the powder I have directly in with the clothes?
