Our new best-smelling, but worst-selling!

Our new best-smelling, but worst-selling!

Help us re-name this product!

In November we launched ‘Candy Beach’. It was meant to be our Flagship product. Our signature brand-coloured bottle and scent. But it quickly became our worst seller! 😂

The fragrance inside Candy Beach is absolutely gorgeous, and the bottle is arguably our most aesthetic. The fragrance is a unique blend of Vanilla, Dragonfruit and Musk… but the product just hasn’t caught on!

Do we need a new name? And does anyone have any good ideas? Or is there something else that’s holding back people trying the product? Let us know what you think before we go back to the beginning on this one!

Would love to hear from you 💜

Laying in my newly laundered Candy Beach bedding…please tell me a re naming is still on the cards? It’s by far my favourite. It’s a beautiful sophisticated elegant fragrance.

Vikki Taylor May 29, 2025

Omg you’re rebranding it???? My daughter is going to be over the moon, as am I!! It’s your signature scent, so just call it that! I make my own products to avoid chemicals myself, & the aroma that catapulted my business, I now make several products in the same essential oil blend, so it’s now called the signature range. I think it’s classy & very appealing. Go for it!! You have just won back my custom without a doubt!! Hurrah

Magda May 03, 2025

the laundry doesn’t smell, the shampoo is very watery, I have the impression that persil cleans my clothes better, I bought it on recommendation but I think they pay for these recommendations. I’m disappointed

Jo Ball May 01, 2025

This news has made me so happy, Candy Beach is my absolute favourite and I just love the smell, I love the colour of the bottles it is beautifully stylish, if I’m honest I don’t really care what you call it as I will continue to purchase this from you. Thank you for bringing it back xxx

Charlotte Ingles May 01, 2025

I absolutely LOVE candy beach!
Its my favourite scent!

Im so happy to hear it is coming back and with a new name!

Something like island breeze, or tropical sunset or tropical breeze. Or paradise days,
Island retreat, beach hut, sychchelles breeze.

Charlotte Ingles May 01, 2025

I absolutely Love candy beach. Its my favourite scent !! I’m so happy it will be coming back and with a new name..
I agree ot needs a sophisticated and fresh sweet name.

Hana Tomsu April 14, 2025

Candy beach was the best one yet and it’s the reason for me to keep exploring new scents. I was sceptical when ordering first time as candy beach did sound awfully sweet but was pleasantly surprised how lovely it was. Really wish it’d come back as subscription option!

Gemma March 03, 2025

Best smell and best colour bottle! I’m so glad that there is a chance it will be back under a new name. It needs to be included in the sample pack for sure and I was never able to order it on subscription, which would have been ideal. I don’t have a suggestion for a name but I’d buy it whatever it’s called!

Timothy Smith February 19, 2025

Personally I think something like Signature Summer, Summer Dreams or Island Breeze

Rachel La-Mont January 20, 2025

I think the name should be “Sunset Serenade” or “Island Breeze”.

Sars January 05, 2025

When I’m looking to purchase a scent or personal care product I’m usually drawn in by the packaging and name first before I get to smell, so this needs to be right on the get go. My initial go to is you OUD which is very me. I wouldn’t be drawn to Candy Beach as for one I don’t associate dragonfruit with a distinguishable scent and two it instantly makes me think ‘sickly sweet’ or ‘lolly pops’ or ‘candy canes’ which isn’t a concept i’d like to find my self wearing or smelling like. I’m also not a fan of lilac as it’s too girly girl for me and I feel it’s a neither here nor there tone. Maybe a deeper version of this colour would give it some oomph and appeal to the unisex. Going back to the name id like to suggest ‘Tropic Sands’ given dragonfruit is from the tropics. ‘Beach coma’ or ‘Dessert Safari’ I was thinking of the area in Dubai where the sand meets the sea. I leave that with you. Good luck on the product rename.

Zhane Healey December 30, 2024

I discovered Tallow and Ash a couple of months ago via Instagram because I was looking for something non-toxic and environmentally friendly. At the time you were selling Candy Beach cheap, because you were trying to sell all the bottles. For these reasons I bought some bottles, in order to give your company a try. Now I’m obsessed and gutted that this scent is being discontinued, I’ve tried some other scents from the samples I received, but nothing compares for me.

Personally, I like the branding likely because I am familiar with the scent. I guess the downfall was the name ‘Candy Beach’ for some people, so please do not give up on the scent, but instead rename ‘Signature’ or make it available in the sample pack or keep it at a discounted rate, or allow it to be a subscription option.

Cheryl Talavera December 24, 2024

Oh my! Candy Beach was my very first mystery box that ya’ll chose for me, and I simply fell in love. The color of the bottle made me love it even more. I’d like to hope and pray that you don’t rid it from the line up but simply make an amazing come back. The scent is PERFECT you can smell each and every fragrant note, it made my toes curl. I Love it so much. I think that “Signature” and “Sweet Memoir(s)” rather than “Sweet Memories” has a nice ring to it. I personally believe that the fragrant notes with the bottle color and a nice title will do the trick. And add it in the discovery pack line up for all to experience the sweetness of Tallow & Ash. Happy Holidays🥂🍾⛄️

sam December 23, 2024

I never even noticed this one and it wasn’t in the discovery pack I bought. I like Signature along with the other comments, but I think “Signed” or “With Love” sounds better. Like signed – from T&A. You could even change the scent name font on the bottle to a script/signature font so it’s clear to customers that this is your signature, original scent. The scent notes sound devine. I’ll definitely be grabbing a refill in my next order just in case <3

Rita mills December 23, 2024

Candy beach sounds to American, sweet and sickly. How about sunrise pink, or pink mist. Something soft and romantic. Please maintain the the Englishness of the product .

Karen Ferguson December 22, 2024

I’m new to Tallow and Ash but I’m intrigued by the Candy Beach story, the scent notes sound Exquisite….new name? So far I’m in love with Oud but looking forward to trying the other samples 🥰

Janet December 22, 2024

Reading the comments, I agree it needs to be in the discovery set for new subscribers
For established subscribers maybe send a one wash / mini sample with their next order so that they have the opportunity to check it out
Looking forward to my first delivery

Andrea Garner December 22, 2024

I’m adding my vote to “Signature”, and would add that CB has always been my favourite scent!

Caron Ford-Wilson December 22, 2024

Candy Beach wasn’t included in the Discovery Pack I tried to help me choose what I liked and it seemed never to be prominent – I thought it was a summer season scent only.
I think Candy anything is against your brand and market segment. You are selling a natural, non chemical, product . Why would your customers want something with candy aka sweets and sugar?
Not knowing what it smells like, I assumed it would be like candy floss or something.
Tallow & Ash “Signature” is my suggestion- more stylish and up market – like your market

Heidi Jenkins December 22, 2024

Another idea from rereading my comment and again other…

I think you need to to stay away from words like sweet or referencing sweet things.

Maybe just simply call it
‘Our Signature Scent’
‘Signature’
‘Signature Aroma’

Or play around with these descriptions delectable, heavenly or delightful

Thanks for allowing us as user to give feedback and idea. Heidi x

Lesley Johnson December 21, 2024

For me I felt it was a little bit of a weak scent. Especially after having bought Aurora first. I thought Candy Beach would leave more of a scent on the clothes like the others do. I didn’t mind the name but it could have a bit more kick. I bought quite a few thinking I’d love it and although it’s a nice enough scent, it wasn’t strong enough. And I do like sweet scents, vanilla etc.. Excited to see what happens here and other scents in development! 😀😀

Heidi Jenkins December 21, 2024

In LOVE with Candy Beach. I decided to give Candy Beach a punt, a bit sceptical about the name but I’m SO glad I did. My ultimate favourite but the name nearly put me off as worried it’d smell sickly.

Read some of the other comments & Signature does sound an amazing name, relaunch it with a big fanfare BUT it needs to be in the sample set for sure, otherwise how will people know how awesome it is.

The dictionary definition of a signature scent is as follows – iconic perfume, classic perfume, legendary fragrance, beloved aroma, celebrated perfume, distinctive fragrance, famous scent, historic perfume, memorable scent, and notable cologne – could you use some of that as inspiration for a new name. PLEASE try a new name 🙏🏻 I love the bottle colour it was just the name that was misleading.

Cee December 21, 2024

The name does not sound sophisticated. Definitely needs a name change. ‘Sweet memories’ is an idea for a name.

katherine Quiroga December 21, 2024

Well, for me, it’s perfect—my favorite fragrance, color and name. Honestly, I’m here for Candy Beach, and if you take it away, I might be out. I have tried them all and believe me this one is particularly special.

Carla Hutchison December 21, 2024

Paradise Island or summer kisses It’s by far my fave, I was annoyed I couldn’t have in my subscription. I also love cocoa butter kisses I actually have 2 bottles hidden away.

You can’t just ditch it: please if you can’t make samples or don’t want to at least send people a sniff card every person I’ve let smell it has gone on to by some

Sharon Keaney December 21, 2024

I’d love to try a sample but with all the marketing suggesting its not selling I’m reluctant to buy full sizes.

Sounds like many want to keep it Amd it could be name thing but let us sample it

Lisa Colbeck December 21, 2024

Oh please re-launch it with a different name. I absolutely love the smell. This is one of my new favourites.
I always want a different colour bottle and I think it’s very similar to Aurora in bottle colour.

Lisa x

Sarah Parsons December 21, 2024

Hi with regards to candy beach it’s totally the wrong name , to people who haven’t smelt it they think it’s probably sweet sickly based bit like sugary marshmallow ( bottle colour )
I would totally relaunch it with a new name . Baring in mind the scents it has and the massive upsweep for the top note products here’s an idea – Desire ! Or toned down Tranquility.
Random I know but I think it fits the fragrance and the brand 💜💜

Robyn December 21, 2024

I am obsessed with candy beach scent please do not discontinue it. I’ve noticed it’s never in stock? You should bring out a sample size which I think would help boost sales and a rename which describes the fruity sweet element more. Maybe something more aspirational? Ideas: Sweet summer, sugared lychee, tropical breeze, or you could name it after a beach from Mexico or Hawaii for the Deagon fruit/hibiscus elements.

Shay December 21, 2024

This is my favourite scent. It is absolutely gorgeous! Please don’t discontinue it!! The only things I can think of are the name needs an update (sunshine, summer days/daze/haze, rainbow paradise?) or it needs to be in the sample packs so people can try it. Folk will love it once they smell it xx

Leanne Owens December 21, 2024

This is 100000% your best smelling scent Please don’t discontinue it!! Hopefully a rename would help and also would be ideal to see this scent as an option on the subscription? Not having it as an option puts me off buying it on top of the subscription as I already get that every 2 weeks so not practical in that sense but it is by far the best scent if you like a more delicate scent over strong ones like odyssey
I will be using up the last of my candy beach bottles wisely so string it out for longer lol

Nick Chapman December 21, 2024

I’ve never tried it, and I doubt I would in the future. There were no sample sizes so never gave it a go. I usually need to feel I’m definitely going to like it before committing to 25 washes of it.
The exceptions were Date Night, Cocoa Butter Kisses, and Summer Fling. Those are excellent, as I thought they would be.
Ditch Candy Beach and, as I’ve said many times before, make Cocoa Butter Kisses and Summer Fling permanent products in place of Candy Beach. Please!!😁

Jill Dowding-Walker December 21, 2024

How about Sunrise Sand? Ocean air, and lychee, bring to mind the pale pink hues of sunrise on a tropical beach

Gillian Walton November 05, 2024

I have used Oud conditioner, which is very nice. I have not tried Candy Beach because the name did turn me off: it reminded me of Candy Floss and Seaside Rock. I see it has Dragon Fruit in it, so how about Hydra? This represents a mythical dragon, and it is a Greek word for water (think laundry product). It is also a Greek island in the Aegean, favoured by artists at one time, bringing to mind sun sand, sea, and creativity.

Ann October 04, 2024

Love most of the smells but my favourites so far a Bahama vibes , Aurora and , Oud these are my favourite so far ..but to be fair nearly all the smells are good but like most of us we all have different ones ..life’s boring if we all like the same.

Mary August 23, 2024

Personally I think Candy Beach is a bit infantile and cheap sounding?.. it smells great but if I just saw the name I’d instantly think sticky, pink and cheap,/ super sweet smelling. I think people see that before they read the ingredients. Maybe rename it with something unisex or even just T&A signature.. the bottle designs in general are nice but nothing special. They take up a lot of room and you can’t get refills. If you could design a bottle that interlocked with the fabric conditioner that would be a stand out feature.

Gina M Tigue August 05, 2024

Omg, Pleeeeeeaaasssee don’t stop making this scent. I’m fairly new to your products and ordered this with my last order. Aurora was my fav until I got this. I am hoping beyond all belief you continue this scent… just call it…HOPING!

JO ELGARF April 05, 2024

Well I bought it after seeing this on Instagram as I love those scents. Why don’t you name it after a beautiful sandy cornish beach like Polzeath or Daymer? However some may worry the smell will be too strong against other scents? ‘Simply summer’? Can’t wait to get mine

Jake April 02, 2024

I LOVE the scent, to be totally honest and transparent the reason I didn’t order again is because I feel the scent doesn’t stick to the clothes as much as Oud or even Bahama Vibes, the name and the bottle I’m not fussed about but I just wasn’t too impressed by the scent on my clothes after a wash.

Kaye Gray April 02, 2024

I agree with some of the other comments signature is a brilliant name,I also think tone the bottle down to barbie for me,maybe a black and white bottle or a nude colour.good luck xx

Emilie April 02, 2024

I love this – it’s not the name for me it’s that I can’t get refills it feels like such a waste of plastic and also takes up a lot more space xx

Lucy March 30, 2024

Whilst the scents are the priority, I’ve also tried to align with the other names, so how about one of the following –
SunDaze (Sundays)
Hypnotic
Beach Days/Daze
Memories
Gambian Nights
Beach Comber
Beach Retreat

Demi March 30, 2024

Sweet tooth, Vanilla Oud, Vanilla Velvet, Amalfi Blush, Elegantly Amalfi, Amalfi Sunsets, Golden Sunsets, or Rooibos like the South African Red Bush tea.

B J March 30, 2024

I’m with everyone on the candy part. I love the colour of the bottle.

I’m thinking something like: Solar power, golden hour, jungle fever, sweet sands, summer haze.

Sarah Thornton March 30, 2024

What about ‘summer breeze’? I am currently using it and love it, makes you drift into memories of summertime with warm sun and a gentle breeze, beautiful flowers, fruity drinks and calming waves.

Anne Eastwood March 30, 2024

So after receiving your email I ordered a set of Candy Beach to try. Celestial and Oud are my favourites for clothes ( I’m afraid I still use conventional laundry liquid for bedding as I want that to smell fresh for a week. I don’t mind my clothes being unscented as I don’t want them fighting with my perfume) I have to say this scent is too subtle for me. Usually my utility room smells amazing as my washing dries but I’m getting very little from this. I’d scrap it or add something else to it to lengthen the scent throw.

Klaudia March 30, 2024

How about “Dance in Tahiti”? After all one of their main exports is vanilla, this smell screams French Polynesia x

Lisa Edwards March 30, 2024

I’m using Candy Beach at the moment it’s absolutely stunning! I’m drying laundry in the house and my husband just commented about how amazing it smells but I agree the name should be changed as its not a very good description of the scent it’s very tropical and musky maybe Tahisian Breeze or sun or vibe.

Lanah March 30, 2024
This is the first scent I ever tried! I would call it either Aphrodite, Sweet Angel, Angel Nectar or Cupids Kisses. It’s very sweet and uplifting but musky
Gemma Lay March 30, 2024

When I got the sample pack it wasn’t an included scent! Maybe that put people off ordering it if they’ve found a different one they like in the sample pack? (I know I’m going for it next time because it sounds right up my street) But

Kirsten Pillings March 30, 2024

Name ideas:
Dusk Dreams
Enchanted Bloom
Lunar
Cosmic Kiss
Twilight
Halo
Elysium
Enchanted

Rachel March 30, 2024

Yes definitely needs a name change. I was put off by candy, like so many due to it hinting sickly sweet. Maybe Bliss, Paradise lost or Purple haze. 🤔

Laura Ferguson March 22, 2024

Since it has hibiscus and ocean air at its heart, what about Aloha?

JenJ March 22, 2024

Hey T+A I hadn’t got round to purchase this one yet. Not any reason in particular I had just wanted to start with the ‘first released’ fragrances first. The colour of the bottle definitely caught my eye when scrolling and going off what other customers have said about it, I am 99% sure I will love it.

The name however I can see how it could be off putting to some with ‘Candy’ in there.
A few suggestions..

‘Serene Shores’ ‘Serene Dream’ ‘Beautiful day’ ‘Pure Shores’
Lauren March 22, 2024

I have to admit I didn’t even look into this scent when purchasing because Candy implied to me a sickly/sweet sort of smell and that’s not something I’d go for. I think something that still leans towards it being a summer scent but in a warmer, capturing the vibe of lazy beach days type feel instead?
Paradise and tropical often have pina colada links so maybe something like summer sun or beach days.

Kate Reid March 22, 2024

For me it’s the ‘candy’ in the name that is off-putting. I’d expect it to be overly sweet smelling, not a complex deep scent as you’re describing. Tbh that’s why I’ve not tried it. Maybe something like summer haze or sunny daze would be more appealing?

Ellie March 22, 2024

Sweet dreams

Ellie March 21, 2024

This smells like baccarat rouge. If ‘smells like baccarat rouge’ was mentioned in the bio or the product name was hinting at it, it would blow up like Red Temptation perfume did in Zara (especially on TikTok).

A few ideas for names: The Red One, Sweet Temptation, Rouge, Scarlet, Ruby Red, Crimson, Red Velvet (or along those lines)!

Adding a sample sachet will definitely help too.

Ps please bring out a Santal 33 inspired scent!

Xxx

Liz Bryan March 21, 2024

I must confess that when I read the name “Candy Beach”, I didn’t even bother reading the fragrance, as I assumed that it would be sickly sweet (my least favourite of palatable scents).

Subsequently reading the fragrances, makes me think of warm nights, palm trees and lapping waves on the beach… simply…”Paradise”

Elorah March 21, 2024

If all else fails maybe you could release it as part of a Summer bundle with other Summery scents. I typically like to use fragranced products that correspond to the season we’re in, I don’t scent my home with coconut during Autumn for example. I’m not as rigid with my laundry products but I am attracted to that sort of theme. Maybe it’s just a case of releasing a fragrance called Candy Beach in November when everyone wants warming festive aromas in their home and it just hasn’t caught on yet but will as the seasons change? I really love the scent personally.

LucyK March 21, 2024

It would be a good idea to be able to have this in a sample size. I wouldn’t order just based on the name. It sounds sweet and sickly which is so far away from how I want my washing to smell.

If it is as gorgeous as people are saying in the comments then it just needs a new super cool name, so offer it in a sample size with the caption ‘smell me and name me’ – the wining name will receive 6 months supply for free.

Have people submit names to you. When you have 3 or 4 names you really like, offer them out to your followers to vote for the one they like best!

This will get people buying it again and re-launch at the same time.

Missy March 21, 2024

I think call it Tickle my pink.

Vic March 21, 2024

I missed the launch of this, was it not talked about on the laundry lab group? I loved the activity in the group in the early days but it seems like there’s been nothing since October. The smell is amazing and it’s easily my new favourite. It just didn’t seem to get the hype that date night got.

Bernice March 21, 2024

I agree with most of comments I’ve seen, candy as a name does not draw most adults in. And perhaps call it ‘signature _____’ & add it to sample list so people can try.

CC March 21, 2024

I was initially put off the name, thinking of sweet candy smells and then once I read the description, I wanted to try it. I haven’t found any sample sizes of it sadly so just going to try the full size instead. Including it in the sample box could help to encourage people to try it whatever the name is :)

Michelle March 21, 2024

Like many others I love the bottle but just prefer the other fragrances. Maybe send out free samples to regular customers to try to see if sales pick up. If they don’t then cut you losses, and launch a new fragrance with the same coloured bottle. I don’t think the name really has any impact on peoples choice I think it is the scent. What smells good in a bottle does not always transfer to the dry laundry. FYI Bahama Beach and Date Night are fabulous. Please don’t change these.

Sophie Partington March 21, 2024

I couldn’t find a sample of this to try. So I would be wary of buying without sampling first. Maybe put out a sample.

Kirsty Mew March 21, 2024

Bearing in mind you claim this is your flagship scent why is this not available as a sample in the Discovery Samples or Discovery Bundle packs?
If it was it might be more popular.

Also change the name, it’s a little of putting.

Cheryl March 21, 2024

Can you offer two different Discovery bundles as it seems not everything is currently in it. This allows us to try before we buy which leads to greater sales.

Ruth Cole March 21, 2024

New name : Beach Fresh

Nasra March 21, 2024

Rename it “Summer Kiss” or “Blissful Wishes” or “Hugs in a Bottle” or something that will intrigue people and also change the colour of the bottle to a few shades darker because it’s too airy fairy pink and doesn’t feel mature enough. Make it sexier and more mysterious.

Mrs H March 21, 2024

Sickly sweet and overpowering. Rather have a fresh laundry scent instead

Nicola March 21, 2024

Candy=sweet and sticky
Beach= sand
Not a happy combination, although the scent sounds delightful. So rename and relaunch, maybe “ tropical delight “ ?

Dawn March 21, 2024

I’m just waiting on the refill pouches to launch!!

Tina McKay March 21, 2024

I would charge the name to Summer Nights.
I love the packaging. Purple is my favourite colour .

Jugdeep March 21, 2024

Just brought to try, the name makes it sound sickly sweet but when looked at the notes I love the smell of sol de janeiro so intrigued to try.

Jen Davison March 21, 2024

I haven’t tried it, I feel the name made me think of something that was too sweet and not the luxury you are mentioning. It would be good to try it, I like your transparency and being honest about the business… good ethics ✨

Trudy Chadwick March 21, 2024

I adore this scent and it was the dragon fruit that sold it to me. Maybe use a play on words with that. The candy made me think of candy floss.

The scent itself is soft and subtle. I love it on my bedding. Dragon fruit originates from Ecuador, vanilla from Madagascan orchids. So, I think warm, hazey nights, with the occasional breeze relaxing me… I don’t know. Either way, it’s lush

Frederica March 21, 2024

Tropical beach captures the essence and sounds far more appealing than a sticky candy association

Alexis March 21, 2024

I think you need to change the name. I’ve tried every other fragrance but this one.
I think it sounds like a porno film.

Claire Weston March 21, 2024

I never tried this one because the comparison to Delina completely put me off. I can’t cope with Delina anywhere near me- it’s much too much rose 😂

Linsey March 21, 2024

Anything called candy immediately suggests sweet. A good name should at least hint at the notes. This doesn’t! And candy appeals to a younger demographic who are perhaps yet to use a washing machine! Change the name!!

Cristina Larner March 21, 2024

Definitely don’t scrap this!!!!!
I think a new name Will definitely do the trick! Before I tried it I was worried ‘candy beach’ would be sweet and sickly. When I read the scent profile I was desperate to try!
But I didn’t even click on it for such a long time as the name didn’t sound like something I’d normally go for. My fave so far that we’ve thought of is
‘serenity’
It elegant, sophisticated and encompasses the scent perfectly.

Bee Johnson March 21, 2024

Definitely in the name – totally put me off and I’ve purchased most of the others!!! Think it is the candy connotations – sickly sweet or even Christmassy…. Maybe something like ‘Fondant’ or ‘Bon Bon’ if sticking with a sweet food theme or ‘Delectable’ or ‘Golden Delicious’ if adding more dimension?? Xx

We have some suggestions!!
Please please please don’t scrap!

Alison March 21, 2024

Change the name keep the product. Haven’t bothered to try it as I assumed it would smell of sweets. Now reading the fragrance description I fancy trying it.

Lauren March 21, 2024

I purchased my full size products based on my favourite scent from the trial bundle. This scent was not part of the trial size ones so would be reluctant to commit without having tried a sample.

Eileen Connolly-Harris March 21, 2024

This is one of my favourite scents in your range. I don’t think it is the scent, but the name. For some reason, I think of cheap sweets when I see the name, which doesn’t do the product any justice.

Debs March 21, 2024

This smells amazing, don’t be put off by Candy, most candy is delicious! Naughty but nice 👍 you have to try it ladies/gents

Chris Davies March 21, 2024

Name suggestion: ‘Velvet Moon’

It’s powerful and mysteriously attractive at the same time!

Julie Currington March 21, 2024

I would like to try a sample of this to see what it is like. The name puts me off buying it as it sounds sweet and sickly

Layla March 21, 2024

The name put me off buying.. Candy makes me think it would be sickly sweet smelling.. but fragrance notes actually sound like something I would like! I’d need to try a sample before committing to a full size … maybe add as a single sample for a while? I wouldn’t want to buy the discovery pack again

Diane Gordon March 21, 2024

Name just sounds sticky!
However unfortunately I can’t try it as allergic to Jasmine!

Joanne March 21, 2024

This is the most amazing smell, please do not discontinue it!😢
I believe it is the only one that does not have a sample available, and is also not included in the discovery kit, so unless people take a punt and buy it they will not know how amazing it is.
Maybe create a limited amount of samples to either buy outright or include in the discovery bundle?
Alternatively rename?

Thanks Joanne

Jessica March 21, 2024

I don’t have a new name for the product- it sounds delicious tbh- but it’s not included in the sample pack and I wasn’t aware it even existed! Perhaps if it was, more people would be aware of it. x

Greta March 21, 2024

I have just had your sample package and I am not sure that this fragrance was in the pack. I agree that you could reduce the price to get shoppers to try. I would go with a new name.
AROMA BEACH.
FRAGRANT BEACH
INCENSE

Beverly March 21, 2024

Name puts me off – don’t know the scent but based on ingredients – eastern promise? Or eastern/asian breeze

Grainne Donnelly March 21, 2024

Just need to change the name.
What about Pomegranate

Sophie Taylor March 21, 2024

Hi
The name is off putting and sounds sweet and cheap , go for something like beach bloom or cloud burst , consider changing pack colour ? You have no yellows or greens and put in on promo too

Heather Simpson March 21, 2024

I love the scent but the name is not the best as you assume candy is going to smell sweet and sickly … Change the name… a play on other names for dragon fruit for instance Pink Pitaya …. or just Pitaya … just an idea as it sounds exotic and mysterious which to me is how the scent smells …..

Carolanne Hogg March 21, 2024

Hi when I opened this and smelt for the first time it does smell fruity and it reminded me of the carousel at the fair ground with candy floss and toffee apples. I think Carousel might catch on, just my thoughts ! ♥️

Claire C x March 21, 2024

Not having a sample in the sample packs is maybe why. Id love to try it but don’t want to order a big size just in case. I vote for Pink shores or Sandy shores!

Jacqueline Claydon March 21, 2024

Oh please don’t get rid of this one its one of my favourites but I would not have brought it on the name alone!! Anything with candy in too sickly….
How about Calista – most beautiful or Stella – star as I think it is. 🥰

Caroline Davies March 21, 2024

Pinkredible !! I can’t wait to try this fragrance and I hope you like the new name!

Bethan Koehli March 21, 2024

I don’t think this option is included in the discovery sample packs? If it was included, it would give people the chance to try it along with the other scents, especially for new customers like myself.
Maybe do a spring promotion for this scent and get it some love and a boost.
The word Candy may put some people off if they think it’s going to be very sweet smelling?

Debby Thompson March 21, 2024

What about Desire or Melody. Think either of them would be applicable.

Barbie Skinner March 21, 2024

Spring infusion perfect for this time of year

emma mitchell March 21, 2024

This is my absolute favourite, I love it and would love to keep using it! The name doesn’t bother me at all. How about Sweet Dreams because it’s sweet?

Cheryl James March 21, 2024

This is the fragrance I chose as my first purchase and I love it! The name for me sums it up as it smells like Love Hearts with a salty undertone. Please don’t discontinue it, I’ve just got my daughter in law buying it too.

Mairearaid March 20, 2024

The name is off putting. Too many accidents with sticky candy in the washing machine lol

Trudie Bloomfield March 20, 2024

I was very excited when you announced you were launching this product until you stated the name of it. The word Candy just made me think of sweets and didn’t fancy this scent on my laundry. It just put me off from the start, so i can understand why it’s not catching on like your other scents.
Stear away from names assoicated with sweets and i feel it will take off. To me the fragrances used in this are more suited to my favourite perfume scent – Jo Malone.
I would look at maybe Decadence .

Sehar Saqib March 20, 2024

I ordered this as a first time buyer based on the description of the fragrances and that’s what I used to guide me. Don’t get rid of it. The name is misleading. Perhaps reduce price temporarily so people can try it? However definitely think the name needs a change !! Will brainstorm

Jane Tresidder March 20, 2024

I’ve just bought this and I LOVE IT!! Please don’t discontinue 😩

Victoria Fraser March 20, 2024

It would help enormously if you could provide comparators for all your products- ie if you like Chanel Diorissimo then you may like this….

Helena March 20, 2024

I have to be honest the name put me off. It sounds cheap and tacky. I did try it and loved the fragrance but it needs a new name that sounds more classy and luxurious.

Sofia March 20, 2024

What about Candy Coat? Cause the fragrance coats the wash?

Kris March 20, 2024

Rename it…. Something like ‘Enchanted Fusion’ or ‘Sensual Whispers’ the bottle is lovely

Claire Gowson March 20, 2024

I love these conversations! Makes me really engage with the brand. Other organisations should take lessons from you in stakeholder engagement.

Anyway, I didn’t repurchase as I didn’t find the scent was as lovely as some of the others. I love the Sol de Janeiro signature scent but actually didn’t find this to be too similar, and a little too sweet for me. So it wasn’t the name or the packaging for me. I think I just prefer other smells. By all means include it as a sample though and I will reconsider!

Lisa Parker March 20, 2024

Candy Beach isn’t included as a scent in your discovery samples, so perhaps it isn’t selling for that reason? I’m working my way through the samples and recording details of my favourites in order to order full sizes, but I wouldn’t consider ordering Candy Beach without smelling a sample first.

Ellie March 20, 2024

Fruit Punch, maybe?
(Sorry I know I’ve already commented once!)

Teit Neiiendam March 20, 2024

Hi TALLOW + ASH…
To be honest, I never tried it, but Candy Beach is not a name I would associate with a “signature product “!!!! I found it very feminine and to me as a male it looks like do to the colour of the bottle like it would be a sweet scented laundry shampoo… by the look at the notes in the product it’s not !!!! I would change the colour of the bottle ( something more neutral ! Black or cobalt blue ! ) name as a flagship product to me should be more about your “ point of difference “ your scents , perfume… A modern classic ! “ mellow notes “ , “ New linen, “. “New scent “ “ No Crap “
Just a few ides …
Kind regards
Teit Neiiendam.

Sruthi Scaria March 20, 2024

Rename and relaunch. It would be a shame to scrape the product all together.
Name idea: Spring blossom

hayley March 20, 2024

I would say rename it. To me candy beach makes me think of sweet or sickly. So maybe something with a coconut or candy floss type smell.
I think the name could make people think it is a overpowerful sweet smell instead of a more natural, sofisticated small.

Hannah March 20, 2024

Euphoria

Den Pickup March 20, 2024

The name suggests a very sweet and sugary product, coupled with the pink bottle, made me dismiss it straight off without even looking at the fragrance notes. Now that I have, I would say the name and colour branding have perhaps done it a disservice and need a bit of tweak!

Sonia Fakes March 20, 2024

Signature Blend

Alina Yordanova March 20, 2024

Hi There,
You can try to change the color to yellow or Orange
And name can be Sunny Beach or something similar to Sun Beach cocktail

Justine Wright March 20, 2024

I honestly can’t remember what this smells like 😂 Perhaps a few free samples would help? I’d be happy to try it again. Also look at the name as it would put me off a bit, it sounds quite sweet.

Pauline ostle March 20, 2024

When I think of Candy it’s something that’s very sweet and sickly and I wouldn’t want my bedding smelling like that . I would just rename it .

Amanda Stovell March 20, 2024

Hi,
I’ve just bought Candy Beach and to be honest it has nearly zero fragrance to myself and my family! To be clear we are a nuerospicy house hold and smell is extremely important. My kids can tell what the neighbours a few doors down are having for dinner. And we smell nothing but a slight whiff of vanilla. And on drying there is no scent at all! Is it perhaps a manufacturing fault that the scent hasn’t been formulated as you intended ? I would suggest you crack open a few bottles and smell for yourself. As you say the description sounds amazing. But the reality is very disappointing. I had date night before. And it’s far superior to Candy Beach. I hope you take this critic as it’s intended. Love your company ethics and really want you to succeed. Truly grab a bottle and run some test loads yourself!

Issy March 20, 2024

When i think of candy it makes me think of sugar, additives and super sweet – definitely nothing I’d want to wash my clothes in – I think the name will put people off.
If you write sol de janeiro on it I’m sure it will fly out :D

Julia Overs March 20, 2024

Sunset or sunrise skies or palm beach 🏖️
I just love all of your products xx

Stephen Laverty March 20, 2024

I bought your sample pack along with the full size bottles of Oud, and I can confirm that the candy beach does smell nice however, purely from a masculine male point of few, ‘Candy Beach’ and the pink bottle is all a bit too Barbie sounding for me!
The Oud smells fantastic and others obviously agree as the refills are always sold out, and the grey bottle has a more gender neutral appeal I’d imagine, as it’s not only Women who are buying your products.

Michelle March 20, 2024

Just name it what it’s meant to be. Your ‘Signature’.

Mrs Lynn Mortimer March 20, 2024

Sounds very sweet and sickly to me, but obviously different to scent.
I would suggest Bin It, go for something fresh and soothing.

Sonia Fakes March 20, 2024

I would call this Signature or Our Signature Scent :)

Ursula March 20, 2024

Hi there, the name doesn’t help much, but would be good if they were also available in sampling size. Plus the bottles are extremely similar to Aurora, which might be a bit confusing. Also, not sure if it’s been always like this, but they are not available for subscription. Everytime I like to change the scent of my subscription, so it would be nice to be able to add that one to try it out.

Mrs Amelia Brazil March 20, 2024

Candy Beach isn’t included in the samples pack. I wouldn’t blind buy personally, so if you included it in the pack you’d probably get more orders! The packaging colour is lovely and no issues with the name for me, but perhaps not the most high end of names compared to your others. Sub this for the Celestial – although I LOVE Alien, I think Celestial needs some tweaking to the formula as it dried smelling awful.

Charlie Brooks March 20, 2024

It’s not in the discovery pack or when you buy a bottle of everything. So no one has had the opportunity to smell it or use it yet. I feel keep it, but add it to the discovery pack and watch it fly.

Kat Thomson March 20, 2024

I have not repurchased Candy Beach. I was thinking fresh fruity and sweet but it smelled of burnt sugar. There are other scents that I repeat buy but not this one. Can you tweak the recipe so there is more lychee and more ozone? The name is ok but it doesn’t match the smell in the way your other products do.

Sally Smith March 20, 2024

I haven’t tried this scent, but have had the trial pack from you with 6 or 7 different fragrances. My favourite is Oud, but I wanted to say, for the price you charge none of the scents are strong enough. Some you can barely smell. Also for a new launch, there is still a lot of plastic involved. I would only buy from Tallow and Ash again if the detergent was a more sensible price.

Georgina Burdis March 20, 2024

I have this product and I think the name is good, it attracted me to buy it. The scent is also lovely. What stops me buying it again is that the scent isn’t strong enough and doesn’t last at all compared to others. My favourites that you can smell for days afterwards are celestial and date night. Maybe work on the strength of the scent to encourage repeat purchases.

Evie March 20, 2024

It would have been great to try it in the discovery samples as I’ve just picked the ones I liked best from those. I prefer to be able to try them before committing to a full size set. It does sound nice when you read the notes but I think the name makes it sound overly sweet which isn’t really my style (Oud is one of my faves which is not sweet at all). Maybe something more like Sunset Balm or Sweet Serenity. Would love to try it if you do samples!

Alison McGurk March 20, 2024

Hi. Its definitely the name that’s the problem. It just doesn’t sound aspirational.
The bottle is beautiful and reflects the hot colour for spring 2024.
Maybe something like Sultry Shores, Lotus Land (take your laundry to lotus land)

Sarah Ralph-Neil March 20, 2024

I am a new customer and I would never have known this was your signature scent, as it was not included with my sample pack. Surely, a signature scent should have been included? The sample pack was my first impression of your brand and the scents. If this had been included I may have loved it(as I have the fragrance it’s based on). The name candy conjures up a certain scent for me, sweet & and sickly, so a name change would definitely make a difference. I can’t comment on the scent itself, as like I have said I never got to try it. So my advice, add it to your sample pack(in fact make sure all your scents are in the sample pack, a slight increase in price won’t make a difference to those wanting to buy)and change the name. Hope my input helps.

Mhorag Lomond March 20, 2024

Hi
I haven’t tried this product due to the name. Candy Beach makes me think of sweet sickly candy floss type of a fragrance. I would suggest a new name!
I hope you can turn it around….good luck!
Mhorag

Angharad Rees-Williams March 20, 2024

I love it but you don’t have any refills availbale in candy beach, shampoo only. Otherwise woud have bought it twice by now!

Clare Stephens March 20, 2024

I love the fragrance, it’s one of my favourites but feel the name doesn’t suit it. Sorry don’t have any suggestions for a name but I’d definitely buy it again once my supply of other fragrances runs out.

Clare Stephens March 20, 2024

I love the fragrance, it’s one of my favourites but feel the name doesn’t suit it. Sorry don’t have any suggestions for a name but I’d definitely buy it again once my supply of other fragrances runs out.

Alicia March 20, 2024

Candy beach smells amazing in the bottle but smells strange once dried I find, almost smells like damp. Especially if tumble dried

Tracy Newson March 20, 2024

Hiya,

I think it’s the name. Candy Beach doesn’t mean anything. The name does not register any scent for me. Reading the fragrance notes, maybe you could call it something that includes the words “tropical”?
Also, I see it is not in your sample pack. Maybe you could do a sample pack with every scent included?
I also have another idea too. I am one of your investers. I am wondering if you can do the sample packs at a bigger discount for the investers so we can buy them and give to our close friends and family members in the hope that they too will start buying your products. Maybe a maximum of 5 discounted sample packs?

Kind regards,
Tracy Newson

Laura Scammell March 20, 2024

Please keep the fragrance and the bottle colour! It definitely needs renaming though as it sounds too sickly or a fragrance for kids! Here’s some ideas:
Spirited Away
Spirit of Life
Curiosity
Curiosity Calls
Pearls of Wisdom
Exotic Bloom
Exquisite
Delicately Exotic
Essence of Life
Hidden Gem
Simply Exotic
Irresistible
I’m Yours

Hope these ideas help! I’m currently on holiday in Egypt and getting lots of inspiration! I have also invested in your company and would love one of my ideas to be used. I can keep going with ideas if you like! Love your whole ethics, product and ideas and would love to be part of the journey with my background in marketing and design.

Laura x

mirka slater March 20, 2024

How about re-naming it ‘Sugar Beach’? This way it links the smell to thoughts about luxurious holidays in St Lucia, Mauritius and Barbados? It does smell quite strong, so it’s definitely needing a stronger name and it would be a shame to scrap it entirely. I personally like a few of the other scents a lot better than this one.. perhaps because it does come out quite strongly on clothes after the wash. But it is still ok :)

Voirrey March 20, 2024

I buy this for my daughter and she raves about it. Her whole house smells gorgeous! I’ve bought several sample sets and didn’t get samples in any? So I bought the big size I’m yet to try.

Ellie March 20, 2024

I’m sure it smells just as amazing as your team voted it! However, personally, sweet smells aren’t what I want on my laundry or on any product that I use, be it soap, shower gels, creams etc. Possibly the name is the issue – when I ordered my discovery set, the name put me off this one
Maybe you need a more subtle name, more chic, more classy. I haven’t smelled it, and I don’t think I received a sample of it, unfortunately. But I’d happily attempt to help with some names
Beach Glow
Divine Summer (or summertime)
Fruity Forecast
Pink Summer
Sugar Shore (or shoreline)
Sunshine Sugar

I’m definitely no expert but maybe these could inspire in some way!
Good luck and please don’t get rid of the scent! I really want to try it now 😋

Rachel Agourakis March 20, 2024

Sol de Rio
Rio Rain

Rachel Agourakis March 20, 2024

Copacabana
Rio nights
Rain Forest
Carnival Vibes

Georgina March 20, 2024

I’ve just finished this after ordering for the first time and it’s a great smell! My only remark would be it’s definitely more on the masculine side compared to celestial & aurora! That could maybe be why people would be hesitant to repurchase! Hope this helps! X

Nicola March 20, 2024

Hi! While the name may be off putting for those who don’t like a sweet smell. I think it could be more to do with it not being included in the discovery set and/or no sample being available. I wouldn’t buy the large bottles without being able to test the scent first.

Frances March 20, 2024

Sounds as if it’s very sweet , I think the word candy put people off, candy sounds sticky and not to be associated with clean washing ,
Maybe a yellow or warmer bottle would have been more aesthetic

Tropical lagoon

Hazy breeze

Jay Johnson March 20, 2024

Heavenly scent

Philippa Clarke March 20, 2024

Anything with the word “Candy” in it is an instant no for me, sorry! The scent sounds lovely and I might well try it now, but for me, the name is the sticking point – not sure that helps!

Tom March 20, 2024

Sandy Shores

Jan March 20, 2024

For me its the name – having read the perfume description I cant wait to try it as it sounds like my perfect scent. I had seen it but ruled it out as a sugary childish sickly sweet smell – purely from the name. It needs sunshine coconut vibes

Zena Thomson March 20, 2024

If this product is sold on first release then sales fell and no repeat purchase however small, it tells me the fragrance is the problem …scent is a very important factor and you would expect a percentage of repeat sales …The T+A team loving the fragrance does make it a public best seller !

Lisa Edwards March 20, 2024

I’ve only just bought this to try bit gutted to hear this did notice that there are no refills available which will put me off buying again sadly.

Debs March 20, 2024

Despite buying the products and receiving the samples (which didn’t contain it), I’d never heard of candy beach. I almost missed it even when I went searching. I think the colour of the packaging is too similar to aurora and celestial and if it’s not in the samples there’s no way of new buyers getting to find out what it smells like. Idea – keep the smell, add to samples and change the colour of the packaging.
Can I get a sample to try ;)

Natalie March 20, 2024

I’ve really been wanting to try it, but there are never any samples of it when I check the website. I will definitely be purchasing a sample if they come back in stock. I initially ordered the discovery samples set and surprisingly for me I ended up liking and purchasing different fragrances than I predicted I would, therefore I’m not likely to order Candy Beach without giving it a try first.

The bottle colour is quite similar to Aurora. If Candy Beach is your signature colour and fragrance perhaps a change of bottle colour for Aurora (a pretty shade of green after aurora borealis?) to differentiate between the two products.

Paul March 20, 2024

I would say it’s the name. It implies quite a sickly sweet smell. Rename and I reckon you’ll be laughing. Maybe full moon beach or something. As the dragon fruit notes etc

Louise Swatton March 20, 2024

Rename it: Shangri-la or Nirvana. See if the product sales improve after the relaunch. If not start again.

Natasha March 20, 2024

The name has me glossing over it as candy beach didn’t tell me it had dragon fruit in it or smells of candy floss. I think after reading the ingredients in the email I will give it a try.

Katy Martins March 20, 2024

Rename it. Sounds too sickly

Amy Veal March 20, 2024

It’s not the name that’s the problem for me. It’s the lack of scent after washing. I have a nose that smells things others can’t ☺️ and I can’t smell this on my freshly washed clothes.
Such a shame because it smells lovely in the bottles.

Jayne colman March 20, 2024

Candy clouds or candy fruit could be good names

Jayne colman March 20, 2024

Candy clouds or candy fruit could be good names

C March 20, 2024

Hi team,

Just a bit of feedback from a customer’s perspective. I think the word ‘candy’ in the name is what put me off from ordering this one as the word suggests it will be overly sweet. I did see that it was the highest rated on the website but didn’t want to risk ending up with something that smelt sickly (which i’m sure based on the explanation in the email, it’s not but the name does suggest that in a way)

Not sure how others feel about it but maybe rebranding (changing the name) might help with sales? I think there’s psychological factor at play here.

Best wishes,
C

Julie Ready March 20, 2024

Candy makes you think of sweets ? not appealing , how about tropical Beach or Tropical paradise, sand and sea , Fresh and Breezy

Shelagh Moy March 20, 2024

Candy to me implies sweet smelling which I wouldn’t choose, maybe exotic beach or faraway beach if you want to keep the beach vibe in the name. I haven’t tried this one yet still on Date Night!

Cathryn Mychajluk March 20, 2024

Hi,
For some reason I missed the launch of this fragrance, I remember the name being discussed though and I believe the name doesn’t fit your luxury brand.
There is a dragon fruit called “Love me tender”
Or maybe
Love is……
Love me ( the fact it isn’t at the moment )
Or to go with your signature colour, something like
Damson delight
Fandango
As well as rebranding could you send out a sample to those who have recently invested?
Kind regards
Cathryn

Jennifer Dickens March 20, 2024

Rename as Purple Rain….🌧️

reina March 20, 2024

I don’t know what you mean?
Love the name Candy Beach. Love its scent please don’t alter it. I got that on subscription

Amy Carter March 20, 2024

I think this should be included in the samples so people can smell it as it is currently not in there for people to try. I also think a name change could help, maybe something like Opulent Oasis?

Victoria March 20, 2024

Is it because its not in the sample pack?

Becky March 20, 2024

It’s because you didn’t give out samples with your sample set or you couldn’t buy the samples but did the others

Suze Roughton March 20, 2024

I think that anything with the word “candy” suggests sweet & sickly, especially added to the pinkish colour of the bottle. I’d change the bottle colour to a more Smokey, dusky pink & re-name as “A Hint of the Tropics”. I’d also send out lots of free samples. Good luck 🤞

Jane Preece March 20, 2024

Hello, I wouldn’t buy Candy Beach. It reminds me of candy floss (British seasides). I would assume a sickly pink sweet smell although I trust your noses not to release anything so awful. And vanilla, dragonfruit and musk sound fabulous ingredients. I would go for Mythical Shores or similar.
Hope this helps.

Helen Doddridge March 20, 2024

I’ve never had the opportunity to try this scent I keep asking for it in my monthly subscription box but it’s never in stock so that’s probably why it’s not selling as a investor I would love to try it and give you my honest opinion

Alice Gregory March 20, 2024

Yes, I have been put off by the name, personally. It conjurs up the image of sitting on a beach somewhere, and a group of girls wearing sickly sweet perfume walks past. It just feels cloying. I would suggest something more indulgent. Pitaya Musk Breeze, maybe.

D March 20, 2024

It might be that it’s not included in the sample pack! I personally wouldn’t want to buy a full size of something if I wasn’t 100% sure of it or could smell it somewhere.

Rebecca March 20, 2024

Good morning!

I haven’t smelt this so tricky to judge, but I think the words Candy and Beach are fighting against each other

The name Candy Beach doesn’t seem to match the scents. ‘Beach’ evokes smells such as coconut and Sandlewood. The word ‘candy’ makes me think it will be sickly sweet, also reminds me of candy canes at Christmas. Plus the word candy is very American, so may do better in the US.

Smells of ‘beach’ are really popular (look at explosion of perfumes and candles claiming to be ‘of the beach’) so perhaps ditch the word candy, and focus on beach.

Beach Dreams
Beach Days

Just my two ‘scents’ worth.
Have a great day!

Stephanie Flockton March 20, 2024

I would always avoid a fragrance with ask much as a hint of vanilla.

Riyike Duru March 20, 2024

I don’t think the name is the problem, for me the notes sound great but you have no samples to test. The rest of your range has a sample so it’s easier to commit to them and in my mind it seems like it’s similar to Aurora which I already have … so if I can’t test out Candy Beach I’d rather stick to what I know.

Lynda Lawlor March 20, 2024

Hi. I have several of your scents and for me this is my least favourite and I’m sorry to say I won’t be buying it again even if you rebrand it 🙁

Sophie Armstrong March 20, 2024

I love your honesty, I love your videos. I haven’t smelt it, but the name does not appeal as I’m a Farmers wife with two sons. I used to work in advertising and love the fact you show the aroma notes but the mention of lychee in this product turned me off immediately only because I hate lychee! I live in a male household with disgusting farm smells. I prefer woody/musky smells to sweet smells, cedar wood/sandal wood/white musk etc, but i also adore the smell of rose and patchouli so i would always be attracted to those products first. Evri still haven’t delivered my first order but I’m looking forward to trying them out! Good luck with your research.

iona March 20, 2024

the sent is so much like the Beija Flor 68 and i think the name needs to reflect it, maybe something like ‘Floralis’ or ‘Solara’

Lauren Morris March 20, 2024

With love and encouragement, here’s my thoughts:

The first thing you see on the website doesn’t show Candy Beach in either of the photos. It also falls very low on the lists whenever you’re shopping. There aren’t any refills to be found (but maybe that’s because you haven’t sold enough?) It’s also not in the Discovery set either for some reason?

And if you launched it once but then skyrocketed your audience after, they missed out on that announcement ya know? I found you in December, got a discovery pack, and no Candy Beach in sight. Seems odd for what is supposed to be your best/signature scent. But my point is, newcomers won’t know what your signature scent is if you’re not telling them or showing them on a regular basis. Make it obvious!

The name is also an issue (as everyone in the IG comments has mentioned) but I think it’s mostly a marketing issue. Yeah you’ll get people who are turned off by the “sweet” label but then again the ones who like that will jump on it (but only if they know it exists).

Have you guys ever looked into recreating your scents on paper? Give us a scratch and sniff card or make all the packaging smell like the scent you’re promoting.

Why not throw in some samples with this month’s orders? Or maybe do a giveaway? Possibly offer incentives for Candy Beach lovers to do a review or testimonials? Maybe a UGC creator can throw something together for you. At least this way you can get the scent in people’s noses and get rid of the candy beach bottles before you rename it.

Phew. Anyway thanks for listening. I hope it helps. I love you guys and want you to succeed. And thanks for being so transparent. As a self-employed woman, it’s so reassuring to watch a brand pivot and learn and still be successful. Thanks for being so inspiring 💖

Good luck with candy beach!

Kerstin Hartwig March 20, 2024

I haven’t smelled it , but yes, the name put me off. It sounds frighteningly sweet, I wouldn’t like to associate candy shop with my laundry. The colour of the bottle though I love.
Maybe send some samples out and rename .
« Copacabana » comes to mind after reading the list of scents. :)

mae March 20, 2024

Candy Beach evokes a sense of adolescence and for me misses the mark of a premium household item.

Opting for something that is more sophisticated and focuses on the vanilla and earthy side to it could create that sense of luxury a flagship product should have.

Khadija March 20, 2024

How did I miss this?! I love everything lychee and have ordered the sample pack but I don’t think this comes with it. So now I have quickly bought some before you decide to discontinue. 🥺

Fiona Little March 20, 2024

I haven’t tried this but scent for me is very important and there is no option to trial this scent. So it’s unlikely I would order because I wouldn’t want the waste of full bottles detergent and conditioner if I decided I didn’t like the scent so it puts me off buying. The samples are really handy in trialling what you love and what doesn’t work for you (some of the scents I cannot stop sniffing my laundry!) but when they are not available I would be dissuaded trying new scents. Appreciate availability of samples may be a result of the decision on manufacturing runs, but they seems to be hit and miss if they are available when I order full size – I’d be unlikely to order samples on their own due to it being less sustainable and the additional packaging it would generate. I hope this is useful!

Dean Dimitrov March 20, 2024

Hi TATeam!
All these scents ( ocean air, hibiscus and jasmine etc) make me think about Seaside garden. Besides I think the garden is something deeply rooted in the English psyche
Really hope this will help!
Best Wishes
Dean :))

Sarah March 20, 2024

Candy Beach – I have to say that I’ve been disappointed with it!. It smells nice in the bottle, it leaves hardly any scent at all on my laundry; agonist as if I’d not used a scented product at all!. Compared to the other scents, for me, Candy Beach is a bit weak 😞

Melissa March 20, 2024

You don’t do samples of Candy Beach so it’s be a gamble buying a full-size bottle without having smelt it first.

If you did samples I think it would sell better

Sue Slingsby March 20, 2024

Re name my favourite

Tanya Neal March 20, 2024

I was literally thinking last night that this is the wrong name! I almost didn’t buy it as I don’t like sweet sickly smells and that’s what this name implies. It’s now my favourite fragrance! I think it should be called something like cosy blanket or fluffy towels, that’s what it reminds me of!

Georgina Berry March 20, 2024

I’ve just bought this scent. We also have duvet days and odyssey.

Both of us really dislike the scent, unfortunately. Nothing to do with the name!

Denise Lane March 20, 2024

I must say Candy made me think of sweet and too sweet. Its a great scent.Maybe re name something like Eastern Promise it’s a bit oriental. Blossom Blend .

Shóna March 20, 2024

Is there a tester for it? I’d never order full size if I couldn’t test it first

Denise March 20, 2024

Without smelling it I wouldn’t like to give it a name. Have you tried taking it out on the streets and asking random people to give you one word that springs to mind once they smell it? I’m intrigued to know what it smells like and look forward to receiving my first order and the samples. I will let you know what I think of once I receive it ☺️

Roni March 20, 2024

New name – Love Hug

Lisa Doherty March 20, 2024

Definitely rename! Bali nights?
The current one makes me think of sickly sweet. Also, why is it not in the sample pack? Surely that would get it out there.

Sara March 20, 2024

Hi perhaps you should just change to candy crush, or crushed candy as I thought candy beach was a bit confusing and doesnt really mean anything – just two words slotted together

FAZILA KAROLIA March 20, 2024

Hi
This is my favorite perfume! I’ve not tried the product but I’ve just ordered!
If people have ordered and then there has been a decline in sales- maybe you need to ask those people why? Was it the cost? The perfume wasn’t strong enough? Didn’t last? Etc
As an investor – I would love this to be your no 1, as Delina is my favourite perfume. I haven’t received my percentage discount code yet, but I will give you my honest opinion when I try it.
All the best
Fazila

Anna Clark March 20, 2024

This and date night aren’t in your discovery pack, if you sold samples of these two I would definitely try them both but I feel a bit reluctant to buy a full size version without being able to try first.

Anything with the name candy in it makes me think of an overtly sickly sweet bubblegum type smell, so of all the names I think this is probably the least likely of the bunch for me to take a chance on.

I think options for a sample and a name change would help enormously – I’d be really keen to try both!

Louise Staples March 20, 2024

Hi I am new to using Tallow and Ash so thought I would try this out this morning as I order the sample box. It’s not there!!!! How am I going to order if I can’t smell it? Put it in the sample box right now 😊 good luck 🤞🏼

Alison Furlow March 20, 2024

Regarding Candy Beach, I don’t think a name change is needed. It wasn’t included in the sample set I had so I personally wouldn’t order it as I don’t know if I’ll like it.
Maybe add it to the sample set so people can give it a try?
I love musk so would probably like it but I wouldn’t buy a large bottle without sampling it first.

Lauren March 20, 2024

Definitely the name putting me off. I don’t want any of my laundry smelling of candy….

Trish Widley March 20, 2024

Don’t discontinue it.. it’s a lovely scent I think try to rename it and relaunch first

Rebecca Jones March 20, 2024

Names
Pink vanilla
Pink Musk
Pink dragon
Girls just wanna have fun
Bella
Ballerina
Sassy
Pink chick
Pastel

Nyree McAleer March 20, 2024

I’ll be honest, I haven’t thought to try it as ‘Candy’ makes me think of a sickly sweet, candy floss type scent, not the sort of smell I want on my clothes.

So perhaps it does need a new name?
‘Italian Riviera’ is my suggestion.

Sally Bishop March 20, 2024

The name put me off to be honest. It’s the ‘Candy’ bit. Makes me think of sticks of rock on an English beach. Needs a more tropical exotic name?

Kit March 20, 2024

The current name “Candy Beach” sounds awfully sweet smelling to me but the fragrance elements sound successful with your team so I would re-name it and re-launch. Maybe a name that suggests floral rather than sweet – Dragon Flower?

Lisa McMahon March 20, 2024

Absolutely gorgeous scent, but it’s definitely the name for me.
Please don’t discontinue this one!

Sian Barr March 20, 2024

I tried the sample bundle first before committing to a purchase. I think as this one was not in the bundle, I was hesitant to purchase a whole bottle incase I didn’t like it, same with Date Night. I would have loved to sample all the fragrances, even if it was just the shampoo!

Jodie March 20, 2024

I LOVE candy beach it’s my favourite smell out of them all, along with date night! Please don’t ever get rid of it! Such a beautiful sweet smell

Ashleigh March 20, 2024

I think the name should be called ‘Sweet Dream’, ‘Cotton Candy’, or something with ‘vanilla’ in the might appeal more, especially to draw in those who like vanilla x

Anna March 20, 2024

The name Candy Beach definitely put me off ordering it. The name is unsophisticated and makes the scent sound sugary sweet as though Barbie would wash her clothes with this washing liquid.

Nicola C March 20, 2024

It’s one of my favourites, I don’t think anything needs to change. This, date night and oud last sooooo well on the clothes!

Louise March 20, 2024

Definately keep but tenamr! Maybe something Japanese inspired? For the lychee and dragonfruit? The names just not in keeping with the asthetic of the brand but the smell 👌👌👌👌👌

Kathy Hirst March 20, 2024

Maybe you should call it Signature or Elegance. Or Elegant Signature!!

Kim Walker March 20, 2024

Most of the added fragrances are on the sweeter side, if it represents the beach, how about Candy Cane or Candy Floss.??

Jamie Rosencrans March 20, 2024

I think it sounds more like a fruity cocktail and I have no idea what dragon fruit is so couldn’t really figure out what it would smell like. You should add it to the discovery pack – that’s how I figured out what my favourites were!💓

Debra Murray March 20, 2024

Sunset Song

Molly Mackinder March 20, 2024

I think something straight to the point like naming it ‘Signature Scent’ is exactly what you need, I love the scent but agree the name doesn’t match the elegance of it. Or maybe ‘Elegance’ would speak for itself as that’s what this scent does, I don’t think it needs a fancy name, the product does the work for itself when you try it!

Hannah Settle March 20, 2024

Anything with ‘candy’ in the name sounds sickly to me! Something like ‘Lychee Beach’ might even be a simple but effective change?

Karen Horton March 20, 2024

I’ll be honest, the name doesn’t match the scents at all. Candy Beach screams kiddies running amok on a beach high as kites on sugar! I would try a rename and see how that goes.

Amanda Gatti March 20, 2024

Candy Beach is not in your samples/discovery sets. The name sounds sickly and sweet to me so maybe send samples out for people to try.

Suzie March 20, 2024

Hi guys! I actually bought a bottle of candy beach with my samples and you’re totally right. It’s the best smelling! But I noticed it didn’t come in a sample (which made me buy the set to try it out) maybe you can make samples of it and include it in the set for people to try? It might get them onto it?

I’m not good at naming things, I wish I could think of something for you 😭 but don’t give up on this fragrance. It’s amazing.

Lee karnovski March 20, 2024

As somebody that actually wears Parfums de Marly fragrance I would love to try this, I wore it to a family function one night and my male cousin Charlie hugged me hello and said “Ooohh you smell amazing, like a Bouquet of Gorgeousness” I’m going to buy this for my girlfriend it’s an amazing fragrance!
I work as a freelance fragrance consultant and have done for many years now. When I next saw one of the Parfums de Marly area managers in store I told her what he said, she was very happy with the comment from a male as it meant men would buy for their partners 😊
So my offering for a name is Bouquet of Gorgeousness 😊
Keep up the good work guys you are doing such a great job ❤️

Amanda March 20, 2024

Rename it. The scents you’ve listed sound fab, but ‘candy’ makes it sound sweet and not inviting.

Zara Shahdin March 20, 2024

It’s the best scent but it doesn’t last on clothes it needs to last like the others

Natalie Raymond March 20, 2024

One of my favourites maybe when people are buying other scents pop in a sample for people to try xx

Vicki Hughes March 20, 2024

Tbh it’s the name that puts me off, I get visions of Barbie sweetness. I think a change of name may do it. Might I suggest something like Tropical Beach, Surf’s Up, Totally Tropical rather than Candy.

Jill Hedgcock March 20, 2024

Sorry I don’t like the smell .

Faye March 20, 2024

Please don’t discontinue, it is my ultimate favourite!!

Anita MacDonald March 20, 2024

I didn’t notice it- probably I’m in the demographic that thinks Candy beach is for young single blondes. If you made it fuschia pink and called it Barbie Bedtime, I think it would sell very well.
The Oud is aptly named, as we all love Halfeti etc, so that is the one for me. Plus date night is a vibrant colour.

Francesca March 20, 2024

You don’t include it in the sample packs so how are people supposed to know how good it is unless they buy a full bottle? Id like to smell it but I would only want a sample first.

Emma Wells March 20, 2024

If it is the best smell, you need a rename, because that’s what’s putting people off.
Island Dream
Beach Kiss
Sandy Kisses
Island Blooms
Ocean Breeze
Salty Kisses
These are my selections

Charlotte Burnell March 20, 2024

Candy is not a word that is a sophisticated word. It’s very US and not a word we really use in the UK in my opinion. So Candy Beach doesn’t evoke anything. I’d do a special offer to get rid of the packaging you have to existing customers as part of a « help us rebrand. Or send a free sample to your customers and get their input. That’s a great way to engage with your customers. Ask customers to suggest a new name. Colour of the bottle isnt the best either. If it’s like Sol de Janeiro, which I love, how about Beachlicious! But haven’t smelt it so happy to do that if you want to send a sample ! Do t waste what you have. If your staff thinks it’s the best fragrance, I’d trust them!

Amanda March 20, 2024

I love Candy Beach so much please don’t stop making it! I also love the name!
It might be because it’s not in the sample pack that you offer? Maybe try popping it into the sample/tester pack and see if sales pick up?
