Discovery Samples...but minis!! What do you think? 💜

Design and packaging are a big deal to us at T+A. Our Laundry Shampoo + Conditioner bottles weren't designed to look great, their rectangular shape means they fit neatly into cupboards and shelves without awkward gaps or wasted space. 🙏

But when we looked at our Discovery Samples, we realised something. Sachets just aren't giving the same clean, considered aesthetic. So we started exploring a new idea. Minis. 🥹

The idea is a beautiful Discovery Sample box with our bestselling scents, each one in a mini bottle instead of a sachet. These minis would hold three times the amount, giving you three washes instead of just one.

We've found that a single sachet doesn't always reflect how people actually do their laundry. Wash loads and machine sizes vary, and everyone has their own preference when it comes to how much detergent they use. 🤗 It's still early days, but before we go any further, we wanted to ask you first.

What do you think? 🥰

Comparing the packaging on the existing version and the proposed, I think it is a dreadful idea. I like that current full size bottles are refillable but these minis are going to end up in the bin. Even if that is the recycle bin, there’s a cost in ££ and energy to recycle plastics. Plus the unnecessary cardboard box. Focus on your brilliant scents – that’s why people buy. Also, that default adding of the Priority group thing on your bill – that’s heading in the direction of some of the less classy sales techniques too. a ‘would you like to add’ box would be a more honest selling strategy.
