Discovery Samples...but minis!! What do you think? 💜

Design and packaging are a big deal to us at T+A. Our Laundry Shampoo + Conditioner bottles weren't designed to look great, their rectangular shape means they fit neatly into cupboards and shelves without awkward gaps or wasted space. 🙏

But when we looked at our Discovery Samples, we realised something. Sachets just aren't giving the same clean, considered aesthetic. So we started exploring a new idea. Minis. 🥹

The idea is a beautiful Discovery Sample box with our bestselling scents, each one in a mini bottle instead of a sachet. These minis would hold three times the amount, giving you three washes instead of just one.

We've found that a single sachet doesn't always reflect how people actually do their laundry. Wash loads and machine sizes vary, and everyone has their own preference when it comes to how much detergent they use. 🤗 It's still early days, but before we go any further, we wanted to ask you first.

What do you think? 🥰

They look great and much better than the 1 wash packets which personally I didn’t like.
I see a lot of people are concerned about the amount of plastic but they are all people that already use your products. For someone that wants to try it for the first time it’s a much better idea, you make refills so once someone has tried what they want they just get a full size bottle then purchase the refills. I think the new sample bottles are a much better idea and far more useful than the present ones, especially for people when holidaying or travelling. The one thing that I am wondering is what the cost would be and would you do samples for every one of the different perfumes or just your top sellers, in which case it would mean new customers could only try some of your products and not all. Plus what about the cost of the mini bottles compared to the price now, which needs to be thought about would it be comparable with what you do now? Saying all that, I do think that they are a good idea but without knowing the price it’s difficult to compare. Maybe do a slightly bigger mini version for travel, holidays etc and as an alternative to the current ones. I noticed one other person said about having a metal bottle which is fine once you know the product you wish to keep to and then use the refills.
The one thing is that in all of the ideas is cost for yourselves and the potential new customers.

I love the idea but generally the amount of plastic waste bothers me. Have you considered refillable pouches?

I already get refills so keeping them topped up would be straight forward.

As someone who travels a fair amount I can see a use case for these (and they are super cute!), but is there a way to make this more sustainable than the usual plastic?
I’d rather spend £20 and buy some small ones in metal that I can fill or refill with whatever is floating my boat at the moment instead of having an adorable plastic bottle of Oud that I will inevitably have to repurchase when I somehow manage to break it (AMHIK).
